Job Summary


The Communications team has an exciting opportunity for a rising public and media relations star to play a critical role in managing the overall image and reputation of the company for a wide range of external audiences. With a focus on business and financial media, industry stakeholders, and prospective team members, the Corporate Communications Specialist will author and collaborate across the organization to create and manage corporate messaging, including key messages, press releases, fact sheets, social posts, and other collateral aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player, who thinks creatively and strategically, with an eye for details.
Driven, enterprising, and polished, the Corporate Communications Specialist will implement a corporate communications infrastructure to deliver a consistent and compelling experience for external audiences. The role is responsible for implementing strategy involving Industry Thought Leadership and Executive Visibility, Company Message Platform, and Social Responsibility Communications.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, this critical role works in close collaboration with communications and public relations teams across the enterprise, and in alignment with executive leadership, internal communications, investor relations, marketing, legal, talent acquisition, social responsibility and other core functions. While hospitality and travel industry expertise is not required, experience working across a corporate matrix environment and with executive leadership is preferred. 

Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Message Alignment: Coordinate and collaborate with communications teams across company to ensure strategic alignment and message consistency. Coordinate with communications teams globally to streamline external communications across the company’s global offices.
Program Planning: Implement corporate communications and public relations plans for key corporate functions, including social responsibility initiatives, company-wide announcements and financial results, and executive thought leadership.
Content Development: Research, write and produce a variety of print and digital content in support of communication activities, including key messages, press releases, fact sheets, social posts, and other collateral aligned with the company’s strategic goals. 


Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in Public Relations or Communications
• Experience working across a corporate matrix environment and with executive leadership is preferred
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing multiple projects with multiple deadlines
• Strong strategic thinking skills and project management experience
• Experience with media research and monitoring platforms
• Understanding of various social media, digital channels and applications
• Excellent PC computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
