Wyndham Garden Muscat is now seeking a Junior Sous Chef (Brazilian Specialty) to join our team in Muscat, Oman.
The Junior Sous Chef (Brazilian Specialty), reporting directly to the Executive Chef, will be responsible for ensuring that all meals coming from the kitchen are well prepared with regard to quality and in providing excellent guest satisfaction. He / She will also require to manage food provisions, assist with guest queries and control costs in his department.
- He will be in charge of the Brazilian Restaurant Kitchen reporting to the executive chef of the Hotel .
- Season and grill special meats according to traditional Brazilian Churrasco recipes
- Prepare, portion, serve and present food to guests using the rich, traditional style and methods of Southern Brazilian Churrasco.
- Preparing and Guiding other cooks for daily Cold Buffet Salad display
- Represent and convey Brazilian gaucho culture and Churrasco-style food
- He will give support to Exec. Chef if needed for rest of the kitchen

Assists in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensures that food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly
- Assists with banqueting when required.
- Coordinates and monitors all phases of loss prevention in kitchen areas
- Responds to guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Understands, implements and monitor promotions in outlets, including buffet.
- Knows and enforces all local health department sanitation laws.
- Prepares daily food production sheets.
- Checks food purchases for proper ordering, quality and price structure.
- Knows how to compute daily food cost daily.
- Assesses food portion, size, visual appeal, taste and temperature of items served
- Maintains a warm and friendly behavior to all associates of the hotel.

- A Minimum of 3 years in a similar role in a branded hotel
- Knowledgeable on Brazilian Cuisine
- Diploma in culinary arts
- Any certificate in safety and hygiene
