Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Reservation Supervisor to join our team at the Wyndham Garden Muscat location in Oman.

Job Summary

The reservation supervisor will be responsible for maximizing rooms; revenue through management of the hotel’s room inventory, and for assisting in supervision of the day to day activities and duties of the reservations department. He / She will supervise the reservation functions for the hotel ensuring all reservations are processed in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of the reservation team members and providing reservations and customer service skills
  • Fully knowledgeable about the hotel guest rooms, rates, promotions, amenities, programs, special discounts, facilities and services
  • Attends daily and weekly revenue strategy meetings
  • Actives quick response to guest problem in providing the appropriate results.
  • Ensures guest satisfactions
  • Prepares reports using both computerized reservation system and other computer software.
  • Acts as a main resources for reservation agents needing assistance technically or with regards to achieving customer satisfaction
  • Ensures reservation department and front office staffs are constantly aware of availability states open, on request, closed dates and high demands dates.
  • Responds to all guest reservation requests and executes prompt, courteous and accurate guest service at all times.
Other Duties
  • Answers guest inquiries to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
  • Manages systems that are setup within the reservations department to ensure accurate handling and monitoring of phone calls
  • Creates and manages rates and packages configured on the hotel software
  • Tracks all reservations picked up from all Online channels
  • Assists in preparation of monthly revenue and occupancy forecasting.
  • Communicates availability/close outs to wholesalers.
  • Processes retentions, no show and cancellations as per the hotel policy and procedures
  • Monitors all VIP’s special guests and requests.
  • Monitors all stationary supplies in the Reservation department.
  • Tracks daily, weekly, monthly and yearly statistics for analytical, budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Maintains an organized and comprehensive filing system with documentation of reservations, reports, restrictions etc.
Human Resources
  • Ensure that you dine in the team member restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback
  • Support WeCom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events
Communication
  • Share all relevant information with your line manager 121’s

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION
  • A minimum of 2/3 years in a similar role in a branded hotel
  • Computer literacy
  • Diploma in hospitality industry / Business administration
