Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Development & Feasibility Analyst EMEA to join our team in Gurgaon, India.

Summary

The Development & Feasibility Analyst EMEA will support the development process within the EMEA division. They will hold the details of all open projects and assist in drafting LOIs (Letters of Intent) for all new prospects within the Division, requiring a good understanding of the principles of management and franchise agreements. They will prepare all the internal and external information required to complete the IAC (International Approvals Committee) pack which will require to liaise with internal stakeholders, existing clients and potential prospects. This data will form the foundation of any prospecting agreement with our clients. As part of the approval process, they will also track the IFF (International Franchise Fees) payables and receivables and maintain the integrity of project data within the Salesforce Lightning system and therefore providing accurate information for DEAL team calls.

 

They will also support the Feasibility team by being involved in desktop research, market and competitor analysis and the due diligence and pre-qualification of opportunities, models and incoming leads against the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts criteria. They will liaise with key stakeholders to analyse and screen documents regarding land and sites as well as background information from clients to establish the viability of potential sites, laying the groundwork for the deal and the contractual relationship going forward. They will therefore maintain strong contact with the EMEA Legal team, maintaining awareness of local legislation related to our franchise agreements.

 

They may also support the Development team at trade shows and will take special responsibility for the preparation of such events, including liaison with the EMEA Marketing team and external suppliers to prepare all company collateral including the booth itself as well as networking with potential prospects. 

 

They will present a positive image of the organisation and embody the Company’s Count on Me! service culture.

Responsibilities

Development
• Support the drafting of LOIs for the Development team
• Preparation of all IAC information for internal and external distribution
• Maintain integrity of deal and prospect data within Salesforce Lightning
• Maintain tracking of receivables and payables of IFF and TSA fees, including follow up and collection of any outstanding amounts
• Work on the delivery of trade shows to ensure proper presentation of the company’s brands and maximum exposure to potential prospects


Feasibility
• Conduct deal screening, market research and formulate conclusions, macroeconomic and tourism economic trends analysis, supply and demand analysis, establish competitive set, develop initial projections of occupancy and average rate for franchised deals, prepare preliminary projections of income and expense for managed deals, utilize and maintain financial and tax modelling for franchise and management contract valuations
• Conduct market research and maintain relevant databases on economics and tourism statistics, market intelligence, hotel supply and demand etc.
• Support strategic plan and budget analysis, and perform prospective market analysis for development, finance, and operations teams


Administrative
• Preparation of documentation including reports, presentations and spreadsheets as part of assigned tasks and ongoing research of the region regarding competitive sets and other industry trends
• Assist in the organization of meetings and virtual calls including being responsible for following up on action points
• Scheduling, preparation and planning as required
• Travel reservations and itineraries for the team and visitors as needed
• Ad-hoc projects as required

This person will contribute to the growth of EMEA division by maintaining the integrity of our processes, and procedures which underpin the complex relationships with our clients.  They will also navigate the administratively complex and culturally diverse and sensitive environment across the division. 

Scope/ Financial Responsibility

This person will be involved in complex and important procedures which directly impact the company’s priorities to grow rooms and achieve strong financial performance. Their accuracy and insight in these matters will enable projects to be delivered on time and within budget. They will have low level of decision making responsibility when it comes to incurring costs associated with travel arrangements, supplier selection and procedural matters. They will need to be able to exercise judgment to select the overall best option.

Experience/ Certificates/ Education

• Educated to minimum of university graduate or equivalent
• 0 – 2 years of relevant work experience within the hospitality industry
• Highest level of competency in the use of Microsoft office is essential including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English is essential and additional local languages would be an advantage
• High level of literacy and numeracy
• Experience within the hospitality sector, ideally with real estate focus
• Previous experience in a global organisation will be beneficial
• Experience of working with Tableau would be an advantage
