Job Summary

The aim of the role is to drive revenue & room night contribution to contracted hotels from within the National Sales Managers ‘domestic’ market/s. It extends to representing these hotels at industry events, Trade Shows and Missions where appropriate, to drive inbound sales. Contracted hotels can be either franchised or managed and from within any of the Wyndham Hotel Group Brands available. The National Sales Manager, will represent the hotels to the key national accounts and meeting planners throughout their territory. They will be responsible for driving national corporate, Group/MICE and Leisure clients into WHG properties, either directly, through the GO Leads system or via the ‘end user’ clients nominated business travel intermediaries (and their preferred Global Distribution System (GDS)). This position requires consultative sales approach acting in partnership with the end user client, their travel intermediaries and the contracted hotels, to form a strong ‘tripartite’ relationship, thereby developing the revenue opportunity and market share for participating hotels, franchise partners and WHG. The performance measurement will be revenue based tracking predominantly through individual Corporate Identification numbers attached to GDS & GO Lead bookings and hotel level collation of Corporate Allocation Reports (CARS). Sales activities, account engagement and other appropriate matrix will be applied with goals and measurements agreed each year. The position reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing Eurasia
Travel Requirements
- Travel is required for client and hotel visits (also via Sales BRM’s)
- To participate in tradeshows & industry events and to attend conferences & meetings et al.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ year experience in hotel sales operation or national sales
- Demonstrate ability to work and achieve goals
- Possess fluency in oral communication in contracted countries national language plus English. With good written communication skills in both also.
Complexity
The position is responsible to drive revenue opportunities into the contracted hotels portfolio, thereby driving both contribution and an appropriate return on investment for participating hotels and covering all costs to Wyndham. There will be opportunity to feed more Global Business leads through to the Wyndham Global Sales Team for further pursuit. He or she will negotiate directly with all clients for the best agreement prior to offering this to the hotels for their consideration & participation. He or she will manage national accounts that have the ability to buy across our brands. Take responsibility for new and existing accounts making independent business decisions to his or her goals and targets.
Scope/Financial Responsibility
Although this position does not manage a cost center, he or she is responsible to manage their expenses accordingly. All must review costs of sale and ROI for all business trips; tradeshows, client events, marketing opportunities and overall spend and is responsible for submitting a Travel and Entertainment Expense Report monthly.
