The Role
This role will be part of Global Shared Services based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Billing Analyst will:
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing for hotel/franchise operations to enable proper revenue recognition and clean subledger to GL postings.
- Maintain franchise billing and royalty rate structures, validating revenue data, processing manual and system generated billing, and managing billing inquiries.
- Ensure the integrity of billing information, supports revenue recognition and maintain proper documentation for audit readiness.
- Partner closely with AR, Collections, and Operations to prevent downstream defects.
What you'll do
- Set up and maintain franchise billing and royalty rate information, review and validate franchise revenue reports, and process daily revenue loads and corrections.
- Identify cases requiring manual billing, calculate billing amounts using standard criteria, enter manual billings in Oracle AR, and follow required approval workflows.
- Generate system‑based monthly accruals, prepare manual billing or accrual adjustments for exceptions, and post receivable transactions to the general ledger.
- Receive, log, classify, and route billing inquiries; validate inquiry details and ensure proper follow‑through to resolution.
- Collect, record, and store inquiry documentation, ensuring compliance with audit, internal control, and retention requirements.
- Collaborate with AR, Collections, Cash Application, and IT teams to resolve billing‑related issues that impact the broader O2C process.
- Maintain and update property account status (transfers, terminations, amendments, openings) and set up billing‑relevant elements such as price lists, license agreements, and contract attributes to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Review manual billing accounts and process revenue uploads, ensuring accurate invoice generation for non‑standard billing scenarios.
- Prepare SOX‑required billing control reports, maintain audit‑ready documentation, and process internal/external invoice or statement requests.
- Support billing system updates, UAT testing, workflow enhancements, and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
You'll be successful if you have
- Understanding of billing processes, revenue reporting, billing adjustments, and accrual concepts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle AR preferred) and case management/workflow tools.
- Knowledge of approval matrices, documentation/retention standards, audit trail requirements, and subledger to GL posting expectations.
- Manage medium to high transaction volumes, follow SOPs; anticipate/prevent defects.
- Ability to maintain audit‑ready documentation, including dispute files and communication histories.
- Strong analytical skills to validate revenue data, identify discrepancies, and support inquiry resolution.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the capacity to support cross regional operations.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Student or completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in Billing/O2C.
- Experience in a Shared Services Center or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Experience using ERP systems (Oracle AR preferred), ticketing systems, or CRM tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in structured customer interactions.
