The Role
This role will be part of Global Shared Services based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The GSS International Accounting Accountant will:
- Be responsible for managing reporting, tax package preparation and the drafting of accounting memos.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements while providing analytical rigor and strong documentation.
- Provide advanced analytical support, prepare recurring accounting documentation, validate tax schedules, and perform key reconciliations to ensure reliable month‑end and year‑end results.
- Promote consistency and governance across R2R workflows to support high‑quality financial reporting.
What you'll do
- Compile, analyze, and distribute internal management reports, providing stakeholders with accurate financial insights to support business decision‑making.
- Compile and validate tax schedules, supporting analyses, and disclosures required for internal reporting, audit requests, and regulatory submissions.
- Draft low‑risk or recurring accounting memos by gathering facts, reviewing applicable guidance, and applying the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and validating accounting data for accuracy.
- Partner with Controllership and FP&A teams to ensure alignment and completeness of financial information that impacts tax and reporting.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation, support internal and external audit requests, and provide evidence for controls, reconciliations, and tax disclosures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting templates, tax workpapers, accounting documentation, and process standardization.
You'll be successful if you have
- Understanding of general accounting principles, month‑end close processes, and financial reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with tax reporting, supporting schedules, and audit documentation practices.
- Understanding of accounting policy documentation and application of basic technical accounting guidance (e.g., GAAP/IFRS fundamentals).
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and reporting tools.
- Analytical capability to reconcile complex accounts, identify discrepancies, and document findings.
- High attention to detail and strong discipline in controls, documentation, and audit‑ready workpapers.
- Capacity to manage critical monthly, quarterly, and annual close deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other teams.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the capacity to support cross regional operations.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, R2R, Tax & Reporting, or similar roles.
- Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, management reports, and audit support required.
- Tax reporting exposure preferred.
- Background in multi‑entity or multi‑region environments; Shared Services Centers experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
