The Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead all day to day Finance Operations within Global Shared Services in Buenos Aires, Argentina across Accounting, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP). This senior leader will oversee operational delivery, service excellence, compliance, talent development, and continuous improvement for all finance processes transitioned to Global Shared Services.
The Finance Director will partner closely with U.S. Finance leadership, Process Owners, and Governance to ensure consistent execution of corporate policies, accurate financial processing, and achievement of operational KPIs. The role is responsible for building and maturing a high performing finance organization, embedding strong internal controls, and ensuring high quality service delivery to internal customers and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

The role’s responsibilities span two critical phases: (1) Center Setup and (2) BAU Operations.


Center Setup (in Partnership with U.S. Leadership & Project Teams)

  • Strategy, Planning & Stand Up: Support the development and implementation of the Finance operating model within the Captive Center, ensuring AR, AP, and Accounting processes are designed for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Talent & Organization: Partner with Site Lead to support definition of governance structures, workflows, escalation paths, and service models for each process tower.
  •  Process Transition & Training: Partner with Site Lead to ensure rigorous knowledge transfer, shadowing, parallel runs, and quality checkpoints prior to go live.
  • Go Live & Hypercare: Partner with Site Lead to execute readiness assessments, issue resolution, and stabilization oversight during hypercare.
  • Continuous Improvement & Transformation: Drive process standardization, automation, workflow optimization, and controls enhancement across AR, AP, and Accounting.

What You'll Do

BAU Operations (Ongoing Leadership & Continuous Improvement)
Financial Operations Oversight: Provide executive oversight across all AR, AP and Accounting activities transitioned to the Center:
Accounts Receivable (AR) oversight responsibilities include:

  • Customer Master Data: Ensure accurate setup, maintenance, governance, and data integrity.
  • Customer On Boarding: Supervise timely and accurate onboarding of customers and franchisees, including segmentation, contract and rate maintenance, and readiness for transaction processing.
  • Billing & Invoicing: Oversee franchise fee billing, manual billing controls, revenue data validation, posting to the GL, and inquiry workflow management.
  • AR Management: Ensuring accurate write off preparation, proper processing in Oracle, and timely resolution of unapplied cash.
  • Collections & Dispute Management: Drive collection strategies, monitoring aging, supervising dispute investigations, approving adjustments, and ensuring compliance with communication standards.
  • Cash Application: Oversee application accuracy, suspense/unapplied cash resolution, cash posting, and alignment with banking processes.
  • OTC Reporting & Analytics: Ensure timely delivery of aging reports, KPI dashboards, payment trend insights, Oracle data extraction, and consolidated AR reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP) oversight responsibilities include:

  • AP Management: Oversee invoice processing, payment proposal creation, ACH/check/wire disbursements, GL postings, vendor statement reconciliations and ensure proper handling of urgent/off cycle payments and tax workpaper preparation.
  • Vendor Master Data: Ensuring strong governance, validation, duplicate checks, and compliance controls.
  • T&E Management: Oversee corporate card program administration, T&E compliance audits, expense reporting workflows, and reimbursement payment processing.
  • AP Reporting & Analytics: Oversee KPI dashboards, aging analytics, category/spend reporting, and performance metric analysis.

Accounting oversight responsibilities include:

  • General Ledger Management: Oversee routine journal entry preparation and review, intercompany transactions and eliminations, allocations (including corporate overhead), and supporting reconciliations.
  • Fixed Asset Accounting: Oversee setup of asset master data (capital projects, renovations), capitalization activities, revaluations, disposals, fixed asset transactions, and depreciation processes.
  • Period End Close: Ensure timely and accurate execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including accrual entries, sub ledger reconciliations, adjustments, eliminations, and financial statement support.
  • Consolidation & Financial Reporting: Oversee consolidated results, eliminations, adjustments, and preparation and distribution of internal management reporting packages.
  • Tax Accounting & Compliance: Direct preparation of tax packages, schedules, analyses, and disclosures in coordination with Tax and Audit teams.
  • Payroll & Benefit Accounting: Oversee payroll postings, payroll account reconciliations, and related journal entries.
  • Accounting Compliance: Oversee drafting of routine accounting memos and ensure consistent application of accounting policies across activities processed in the Center.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience & Expertise: 10-12+ years of progressive Finance leadership experience in shared services, GBS, or large scale multinational Finance Operations with deep expertise in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Accounting.
  • Strategic & Operational Capability: Demonstrated ability to design and scale Finance Operations in a shared service/captive environment with strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle preferred), workflow tools, KPIs, SLA governance, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership & Change Management: Strong people leadership skills; able to build, coach, and inspire large teams and experience driving organizational change, process transformation, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to leverage dashboards, analytics, and financial reporting tools as well as familiarity with automation, RPA, and AI enabled process improvements.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or equivalent). Master’s degree in Finance or related field also preferred.
  • Language & Culture: Fluency in English required; Spanish strongly preferred given the Center’s location in Argentina.
