The Role

This role will be part of Global Shared Services based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Jr. Manager, Training Projects supports the U.S.-based Training and Development Wyndham University (WU) function by delivering training & development activities for both team members and franchisee audiences within a Global Shared Services model. The Jr. Manager, Training Projects will work very closely with the Director of Learning Projects.  This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing learning initiatives through disciplined project management practices as well as supporting training program administration and learner engagement. This role ensures learning projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with appropriate coordination across all company stakeholders.

The Jr. Manager oversees project/initiative administrative support, timelines, execution plans, budgets, and planning of communications/learner engagement strategies.  They also serve as a key liaison for all those involved in the project for both team member and franchisee facing projects/initiatives.  They are the key communicator and coordinator of all project deliverables to Legal for formal review. The role also partners closely with the HRMS team by preparing and inputting required content and data to support learning system configuration and LMS deployment.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and lead learning project meetings to include after action reviews with key stakeholders, drive deliverables to successful completion while maintaining timelines as well as provide detailed follow up. 
  • Maintain insight into program registration/engagement to flag when a strategic focus is needed for both positive enhancements and improvements.
  • Manage learning projects and initiatives needs that include things like (but not limited to) budget, legal review, LMS, meeting management, timelines, communications, project plans, learning engagement strategies, program administration, in person host hotel contracts and negotiations, etc. 
  • Source, negotiate, and execute hotel/vendor contracts for in person training programs and/or training partnership third party vendors.
  • Participate in learning project continuous improvement discussions related to project delivery and coordination.
    Manage project and initiative impacts across other WU and companywide programs and initiatives.
  • Be future thinking regarding strategic planning and/or impact of changes when new projects or initiatives include updates to existing materials/programs are being discussed.
  • Provide change management support.
  • Oversee learner engagement and administrative tasks, operations, and execution of learner-facing experiences across WU learning programs and platforms.

  • Ability to maintain and exhibit confidence, influence and negotiation skills during project meetings that can include senior level leadership.
  • Strong project management, administrative management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in tools: Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), LMS and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multiple workstreams concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior level leaders
    High attention to detail, particularly when managing data and documentation.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and franchisee-related content with discretion.
  • Strategic focus for process enhancements/improvements as well as the ability for strategic future thinking of program/initiative impacts. 

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in project management, learning operations, or related fields.
  • 5–7 years of experience in project management, learning operations, or training delivery support.
  • Experience supporting enterprise learning initiatives, working across multiple stakeholders, preferred.
  • Experience in applying marketing principles (branding, audience segmentation, communication) to enhance learner engagement and program adoption.
  • Proficiency in tools: Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), LMS and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and franchisee related content with discretion.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based HR processes or working in a Shared Services environment is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S.-based HR processes.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) required.
