The Role

This role will be part of Global Shared Services based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.


The GSS Collections & Cash App Manager will:

  • Lead and manage daily Collections and Cash Application operations within the Shared Services Center, ensuring accurate cash posting, effective unapplied/suspense resolution, and consistent collections execution across assigned franchise portfolios.
  • Drive operational performance, resolving escalations, and managing delinquent and high risk receivables in alignment with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, documentation standards, and service level agreements while supporting month end close and audit readiness.
  • Partner closely with Accounts Receivable, Client Management, Treasury, and other stakeholders to maintain cash flow performance, reduce aging, and support continuous process improvements.

What you'll do

  • Manage day to day Collections and Cash Application activities, ensuring accurate execution, timely processing, and adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise Collections and Cash Application team, ensuring workload coverage, task prioritization, quality standards, and performance targets are met.
  • Oversee cash processing, including bank and lockbox file validation, posting in Oracle AR, invoice matching, exception handling, and documentation control.
  • Direct the investigation and resolution of unapplied and suspense cash items, coordinating with Billing, Client Management, and AR teams to reduce aging balances and prevent recurrence.
  • Manage collections activities across assigned franchise portfolios, including outreach execution, delinquency monitoring, escalation handling, and follow up on payment commitments.
  • Support corporate team on escalations related to high risk or delinquent accounts, including support on restriction recommendations, default actions, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee dispute management by reviewing billing and revenue issues, coordinating resolution actions, and ensuring timely system updates and communication.
  • Ensure execution of SOX and internal control requirements, including reconciliations, approval adherence, documentation standards, and audit support.
  • Support month end close activities by validating cash postings, reconciliations, aging accuracy, and required reporting inputs.
  • Prepare and review operational reporting on collections performance, aging trends, unapplied cash, and exception volumes, while driving process improvements, system enhancements, UAT support, and workflow optimizations aligned with O2C initiatives.

You'll be successful if you have

  • Strong hands on knowledge of Cash Application processes, including bank/lockbox files, ACH/wire payments, invoice matching, unapplied/suspense resolution, and reconciliations.
  • Solid understanding of Collections operations, including outreach execution, delinquency tracking, escalation processes, and payment commitment monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle AR (or similar ERP) for cash posting, adjustments, disputes, write offs, and AR reporting.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles related to cash posting, AR reconciliations, subledger to ledger integration, and SOX/internal controls.
  • Proven experience managing and coaching operational teams in a shared services or high volume environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret aging trends, KPIs, and operational performance metrics using Excel and BI tools.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Billing, Client Management, Treasury, and Finance teams to resolve issues and escalations.
  • High attention to detail, strong policy discipline, and a consistent focus on data accuracy and control compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to manage escalations, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide team performance.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, supporting cross regional operations.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Application, or broader Order to Cash functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational teams and managing day to day service delivery.
  • Experience in high volume cash posting environments, including bank/lockbox processing and unapplied cash resolution.
  • Hands on experience managing collections portfolios, including delinquent and higher risk accounts.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle AR or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience working in Shared Services Centers with defined SLAs, KPIs, and performance reporting.
  • Exposure to SOX controls, internal control execution, documentation governance, and audit support activities.
  • Experience supporting process improvements, system enhancements, or UAT activities is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
