The Role

The UX Designer is responsible for producing and delivering world-class product design work at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. They will craft experiences designed to increase bookings, expand Wyndham Rewards loyalty, guest engagement, and elevate Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ family of brands. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital design and thrive in a collaborative environment while maintaining an eye for detail. Success comes from being an analytical and creative thinker who can grasp user needs, solve problems, and articulate solutions.

The UX Designer helps optimize the digital creative production process, ensuring timelines and deliverables are achieved with excellence, efficiency, and speed. They will collaborate closely with the entire digital team, including Product Management, Analytics, Loyalty, Digital Production, Development, Project Management, I.T., Global Sales, and external agencies. 

The UX Designer is passionate about design systems, template management and building best practices for a growing design team. 

What you'll do

  • Design & deliver work across all digital channels including Product, Digital Optimization, and Loyalty.
  • Build relationships across digital teams, marketing, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other Creative Services designers to maintain asset creative and organization.
  • Proactive communications with production and development teams.
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders, designers, copywriters, and producers.
  • Celebrate completed assignments as a team.
  • Share knowledge and maintain best practices.
  • Keep documentation up-to-date and easy to follow/replicate.
  • Creates and maintains process for usability testing.
  • Maintains a close relationship with our usability testing partner.
  • Helps with product enhancement and implementation UAT when needed.
     

You'll be successful if you have

Experience, Certificates, Education

  • App & responsive web design experience required.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Expertise in product design tools, i.e. Figma or similar.
  • Some traditional advertising experience such as print, photography and video.
  • Familiarity with UserTesting platform a plus.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
  • Must supply examples of work/portfolio to be considered.

Functional Competencies

  • Builds and supports Digital Creative Libraries, Templates and Style Guides.
  • Ensures presentation and brand quality standards are achieved and exceeded.
  • Performs Quality Assurance as needed and corrects issues as required for design projects.
  • Expertise in mobile-first, customer-centric design.
  • Experience with JIRA, SmartSheet and related product management tools.
  • Experience with responsive web design.
  • Experience with iOS and Android platforms.
  • Understanding of CMS systems and web publishing standards/best practices; Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
  • Familiarity with information architecture and user-centric design principles.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility visual standards.
  • Familiarity with globalization, localization best practices.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 2-3 years of professional digital design experience for a world-class creative agency and/or hospitality, entertainment, or retail brand
