Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Rooms Director to join our team at Wyndham Grand Mexico City in Ciudad de MexicoCuauhtemoc.

SUMMARY

The Director of Rooms is responsible for ensuring the operation of Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Communications and Reservations in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity, and developing managers and employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents arising in person or through reservations, comment cards, letters and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.  Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. 

•    Analyze rate variance monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count.  Monitor selling status of house daily, i.e. flash report, allowances, etc.

•    Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Rooms Division personnel according to hotel standards.

•    Tour rooms operating departments daily, greeting employees and soliciting feedback.

•    Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guestrooms to ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

•    Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks

•    Follows fiscal guidelines, regulations, principles, and standards when committing fiscal resources or processing financial transactions

•   Displays the Count on Me! Service Culture with all interactions with guests and associates.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•    Education:  A 4-year degree and at least 3 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience.

•    Training requirements – Maybe required to become certified in CPR.

•    Proficiency in English is required and desirable for other languages.

•    Knowledge and skills – Ability to multi task, must be able to communicate both in writing and verbally to both guests and associates. Leadership, organization, service oriented, attention to details, problem solving and client oriented.

•    Technical Skills – Knowledge of the property management systems such as: Opera, Lanyon, Synxis, CRS and similar, basic life safety and OSHA training, ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

•    Experience:  Previous management experience required.
