Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, Franchise Sales & Development - Conversion - IL and WI to join our team.  This position is field based and the ideal candidate will reside in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Job Summary

 

This position requires 80% travel.

The Director, Franchise Sales & Development - Conversion is responsible for:

  • Prospecting and qualification of conversion franchise opportunities in Illinois and Wisconsin for the Days Inn, Super 8, Howard Johnson, Wingate, Baymont and Travelodge brands. 
  • Negotiation of deal terms and Property Improvement Plans. 
  • Execution of hotel franchise agreements. 
  • Relationship management and attendance at industry events. 
  • Submittal of Forecasts and general reporting.

General Requirements


The Director, Franchise Sales has their own quotas.  The activities of the sales team drives room and revenue grow.

 

The Director, Franchise Sales and Development will assist other members of development team on special projects as well as maintain in-depth knowledge of major purchase/sale transactions, activities of debt and equity, providers and other hospitality related trends within the US and Canada.

 

The Director, Franchise Sales makes decisions with the help and guidance of their respective Vice President and Senior Vice President.  The Vice President gives direction to the Director on where and how to prospect markets.  This position is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships.  There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Fundamental Requirements

 

  • Extensive sales experience
  • Proven achievement in sales by exceeding quotas
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Aptitude to evaluate pro-forma and feasibility studies for new construction projects
  • New Construction Development Knowledge
  • A desire to travel

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • At least 3 years experience in business/relationship development;
  • Must have demonstrated proven achievement in sales by exceeding quota;
  • Required to travel approximately 80% of time. Travel will be predominantly focused on lead generation and customer relationship management in the U.S.
