Job Summary

Under the business supervision of the General Manager and the within the limits of established Corporate/Sales policies and procedures, oversees and directs all aspects of the Sales and Marketing activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans; oversee and assist with the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plan; management of the sales and marketing team and reporting on effectiveness of the plan. Responsibilities also require direct and routine interaction with Regional Sales and Marketing office.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Director of Sales and Marketing will be reporting to the General Manager and is responsible for managing the sales and marketing team to achieve defined sales targets, assists in recruitment and development and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.


  • Develops and implements the annual Sales and Marketing Plan
  • Develops business planning and sales strategies aimed at increasing the revenue, turnover and profitability, ensuring the achievement of the goals set by segments


  • Ensuring the Sales & Marketing team are being trained, developed and coached through regulate 1:1s in order to maximize their performance and potential 

Human Resources

  • Ensures all departmental team members probation reviews, 1:1s and performance reviews are taking place according to company standard and as per communicated timeline


  • To conduct or chair regular communication meetings with team(s) and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication.


As the Director of Sales & Marketing, the incumbent is responsible for the hotel’s commercial performance and all ongoing practices in relation to the Sales and Marketing function. She/he will combine strategic thought and planning with the ability to maintain accurate accounts and reports, and real time data which will enhance the growth and profitability of the hotel.

Alongside these key competencies, the incumbent of the role will be required to demonstrate the fundamentals of the company’s Count on Me! Service culture to be responsive, respectful and deliver a great experience.


  • A recognized business or hospitality management qualification or a graduate degree in a Sales or Marketing discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as functional sales and marketing leader within a hotel
  • Solid Mice experience
  • Previous marketing and social media experience
  • Experience of managing people / effective leadership
  • Four / Five star internationally managed hotel experience is desired
  • Competency in the use of hotel sales and revenue programmes
  • Highest  level of numeracy and literacy
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is essential
  • A strong sense of commerciality and financial acumen

Any other reasonable duties as directed by the General Manager/ Regional Director of Field Sales, EMEA.
