Wyndham Dubai Deira, Super 8 and Days Hotel Deira is now seeking a Cluster Assistant Accommodation Manager) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Job Summary

The role of the Cluster Assistant Accommodation Manager, reporting to the Cluster Director of Human Resources, will be to provide suitable accommodation for the team members. He / She will be responsible to run the team members’ accommodations effectively and efficiently. To allocate accommodation for all colleagues - permanent, temporary as needed.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Main Duties
  • Assigns and allocates rooms to new and existing team members according to availability, grade level and in accordance to the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts policy.
  • Ensures that all welcome kits, as part of the on-boarding process, are prepared for new colleagues upon arrival and personally welcomes them as much as possible.
  • Maintains daily accurate records of room, kitchen appliance and bed allocation.
  • Conducts daily check to ensure safety and cleanliness of the property, and takes necessary actions to rectify the issues
  • Arranges and oversees all maintenance and repair work, room cleaning, activity etc.
  • Keeps proper record of maintenance jobs, utilities consumptions, visitors and all incidents and submits monthly report to the Cluster Director of HR.
  • Keeps record of all furnishings and equipment for every room
  • Maintains room keys copies as per the WH&R policy.
  • Maintains forecast accommodation requirements for 12 weeks in advance.
  • Attends to any emergencies and disputes occur at the team members’ accommodation.
  • Conducts preliminary investigation for any disciplinary issues related to incident in the accommodation and reports issues to HR.
Other Duties
  • Assists the CDHR in staff’s canteen, outsourcing contracts related to the accommodation, security and facilities management to ensure safety amongst team members.
  • Ensures that necessary first aid is available at accommodation at all time.
  • Handles team members’ complaints and feedback according to company standards to ensure quality objectives are measured and established and actively participates in the review of these objectives.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards are met according the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts standards
  • Liaises with pest control contracted company to ensure effective program is in place.
  • Liaises and monitors catering contractors to ensure delivery of quality foods, service and cleanliness in team members’ canteen.
  • Ensures that adequate security for the accommodation is provided.
  • Writes the accommodation policies with the assistance of the Director of Human Resources.
  • Ensures that team members living in the accommodation have knowledge of the accommodations rules and policies.
  • Coordinates with HR all social activities organized in the accommodation.
Leadership
  • Maintaining a business environment based on the Code of Conduct and Company Vision
  • Maintain and enhance the open door policy to all team members providing advice and guidance when needed in regards to their issues or concerns and/or grievances
  • Responsible for People leadership of direct reports of your teams (recruitment and selection, performance management (Appraisal/PDP), team member development and motivation, counselling / disciplinary issues.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions/1:1s with direct reports
Human Resources
  • Ensure that the hotel’s accommodation are fully compliant with Wyndham people processes and deadlines that govern all Wyndham properties. E.g. AES, Success Matters, Probation reviews etc.
  • Talent Reviews taken place as per the communicated timeline and are live in the business
  • Conduct interviews for relevant roles in conjunction with HR
  • Ensure that you dine in the team member restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback
  • Support WeCom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events
Communication
  • Share all relevant information with the CDHR in 121’s

  • Knowledge of relevant policies such as housing contract, health and safety, waste management etc.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION
  • 2 to 3 years as an Cluster Assistant Accommodation Manager in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Experience in hotel/leisure industry
  • Demonstrate Attention to detail
  • Strong Administration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
  • Proficiency using with computer
