Job Summary

General Technician is the position to provide efficient and effective caretaking support to the technicians and Maintenance Manager. This Position may be required to perform many different tasks. This position is responsible to perform with basic maintenance of hotel which may be required from time to time. The responsibilities expected to observe safe working practice in all technical issues such as mechanic, electrical and electronics instrument. Technical advice for team member in according to professional, safe engineering principle

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field required.
  • At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Trade school and/or College course work in related field helpful.
Physical Requirements
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Fundamental Requirements
  • To receive and follow for day to day maintenance call given by Maintenance Manager
  • Report the summary of job carried out for individual apartments and common area including all used spare parts and accessories
  • To carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule provided by Maintenance Manager for Emergency Generators and cosmetic pumps
  • Repair and maintenance of in house SMATV, CCTV system and Security barrier systems
  • Repair and maintenance of domestic pumps and motors for changing bearing, shaft seals and other minor replacement
  • Repair and Maintenance of washing machine, Dryers, Dish washer, Microwave oven and other related home appliances
  • Modification and troubleshooting for any related to the mechanical and electronic instruments under supervision of Chief engineer
  • Provide assistant to the team whenever requested for any issues to complete project smoothly and safely
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction standard by ensuring that technical support services quickly address. Ensuring first safely meaning and comfort of guest
