Wyndham Dubai Deira is now seeking a Restaurant Manager to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing the restaurant operations and delivering an excellent guest and member experience while training staff and working within budgeted guidelines. He/She will be planning and organizing tasks, people and supplies, act as a representative of the Hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Duties
  • Manages the restaurant operations and maintains exceptional levels of guest service.
  • Trains, develops and evaluates the restaurant team.
  • Manages guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Works within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food and payroll.
  • Drives sales to maximize the budgeted revenue.
  • Is accountable for monthly stock takes.
  • Sets up departmental target and objectives, work schedules, budgets.
  • Evaluates guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Works closely with other departments to supervise all tasks to be done in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Works along in the shifts, being knowledgeable about all products and promotions to answer the questions of both guests and staff.
  • Ensures that menus are handled properly and replaces damaged or outdated materials.
  • Being aware of the health and safety requirements for the department and making associates aware of those.
Other Duties
  • At all times, keeping good communication with the kitchen about changes, dietary requests, VIPs etc.
  • Monitors resources, ensuring that the tools are available to deliver services that meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Maintains a constructive, harmonious and communicative working relationship with all supporting departments.
  • Sets a positive example for Food & Beverage colleagues through exemplary dress, grooming and self-discipline and monitors colleague performance in these areas.
  • Promotes and develops a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility.
  • Complies with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
  • Is able to work in a multicultural environment.
Leadership
  • Maintaining a business environment based on the Code of Conduct and Company Vision
  • Maintain and enhance the open door policy to all associates providing advice and guidance when needed in regards to their issues or concerns and/or grievances
Human Resources
  • Ensure that the hotels are fully compliant with Wyndham people processes and deadlines that govern all Wyndham properties. E.g. AES, Success Matters, Probation reviews etc.
  • Control the LTO, Absence and Payroll in your department in conjunction with the HR Leader on property to ensure that any areas of concern and monitored and rectified to meet the HR BSC Targets.
  • Ensure that you dine in the Associate restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback
  • Support WYNcom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events
Communication
  • To conduct or chair regular communication meetings with team(s) and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication.
  • Conducted documented 121’s with all direct reports

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION
  • Ideally minimum of 2 to 3 years as Restaurant Manager in a 4/5-star hotel
  • Computer literacy
  • Must speak English, any additional language is a plus
  • Work Experience in the GCC region.
  • Pre-opening experience is a plus
