Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, Managed IT - North America to join our team at the Irving - 909 Hidden Ridge location in IrvingTexas.

Job Summary

The Director, Managed IT - North America role is to be responsible for the IT oversight and system integration for all managed hotels in NAMER and to provide pre-opening IT support for new builds and openings. The role is focused on maximizing uptime of property technology, management of standards and ensuring the needs of WH&R hotels are met with best in class solutions and support. This role will also be responsible for the following:
• Hotel technology roadmap planning and lifecycle management
• Assist in development of operational usage guides for property technology
• Operational management of technology partners
• SLA management
• Issue tracking and escalation
• Supporting the hotels in their budget process
• New product discovery and championing
• Implementation of technology to help our hotels achieve their operational goals
• Special projects
• Reporting & Analytics
 

Job Functions

This role will act as the ambassador for the technology team with this group of hotels and ensure that the technology used by the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts managed portfolio of properties in the NAMER region is effectively supporting business processes.  .  The Director will have a lead role in the implementation or update of any managed technology.  In addition, the Director will assist in developing and training for any process or procedure changes impacted by technology developments.

Travel to regional conferences and events will be a key part of this role in addition to travel for technology management and assistance at managed hotel locations.

Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to manage the product / services life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Responsible for;

Scope/Financial Responsibility
As the managed technology leader in this region, you must be able to provide operational solutions to the hotels in a way that would benefit both Wyndham and the hotel. Choosing the right technology path and executing on implementation is critical to our success and the success of our licensees in region.
Though there is no direct budget for this position to manage it is our responsibility to help in the planning efforts and execution of the overall corporate roadmap, hotel & departmental budgets.  These budgets contain multimillion-dollar projects and it is our responsibility to work closely with internal resources and external vendors to maintain and keep project costs at the budgeted level or a cost savings.

Fundamental Requirements

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
 College degree or equivalent experience required
 Strong knowledge in enterprise IT platforms
 Strong written and oral communication skills; good presentation skills with ability to think outside the box to generate solutions; ability to interpret data and see trends and patterns
 Experience with hotel industry specific systems is critical to success in this role
 Previous project or product management experience

Complexity
This role will have direct impact on key technology decisions that can be financially impactful to both hotel owners and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. This role will require a high level of autonomy and leadership. Decisions made in this role will have a direct financial impact to hotel budgets and operating expenses.
