Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Finance Systems Operations to join our team at the Irving - 909 Hidden Ridge location in IrvingTexas.

Job Summary

The Lead Engineer, Enterprise Finance Systems Operations is responsible for the performance, functionality and reliability of the Oracle Financials Applications, specifically techno functional support of: General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Projects, Cash Management TCA Customer Model, Financials Foundation, SLA and Tax modules.  The Lead Engineer will ensure 24x7 application software availability to support mission critical business functions to the users across multiple countries in a multi org, multi-currency, multi-language in a single global environment.  This position will function in both production support and project development roles based on the demand. Also support vendor collaboration, communication, and integration across a large scale IT program with multiple projects/vendors involved. Analyze and troubleshoot complex system and user issues and coordinate issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as needed.

This position will report directly to the Director, Enterprise Financial Systems Operations. Decisions will be made collaboratively between these two individuals.  Decisions that impact applications will be made in conjunction with other team engineers and support teams as appropriate. This position will not have any direct reports.


1 Ensure service level availability of the Oracle applications and ancillary Financial applications.  Primary point of contact for Financial business users supporting functional, analytical, troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships Provide on-call support on a 24x7 basis for break/fix/enhancement activities to resolve application issues. WHR Finance Team Members & Enterprise Financial Systems Team Members 
2 Assist with Business Users/Super Users, and members of various IT and project teams to improve synergies in existing solutions, minimize recurring data/product bugs and data related issues, expand reporting and communication, and continuously strive for service improvements, performance tuning, and support reduction. WHR Finance Team Members & Enterprise Financial Systems Team Members

Physical Requirements

Experience/ Education
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, or a business related field with 5-7 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Experience leading a team of Technical specialists

• Experience writing in SQL queries
• Proven track record in configuring, customizing and implementing Oracle E-Business Suite R12 applications.
• Proficient in Oracle E-Business Suite 12i and 11i Technical foundation and application architecture.
• Must have experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite 12i Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, PA), iReceivables
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Tuning and using TOAD
• Experience with Application Object Library (AOL), Concurrent Manager and Flex fields.
• Experience with designing and developing CEMLIs (Configuration/Customization, Extension, Modification, Localization and Integration).
• Experience with SDLC and Possess application management in an Oracle Environment with at least two full life cycle oracle implementation in a functional or a techno-functional capacity.
• Experience working with conversion and interfaces programs between Oracle R12 and legacy applications.
• Working knowledge of Oracle  Applications API’s
• Understanding of Business Processes utilizing Oracle Application Flows across the E-Business suites.
• Exposure in managing application package acquisition, integration and implementation as well as new development.
• Project Management exposure and skills including resource management, project planning and tracking, estimating, risk analysis, sponsor relations, status communication, problem identification and resolution
• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral; along with strong analytical and problem

Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in Oracle EBS Financials
• Demonstrated general accounting or finance experience
