Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Specialist, Global Sales to join our team at the Irving - 909 Hidden Ridge location in IrvingTexas.

Job Summary

This position is a member of the Global Sales Operations Team and Center of Excellence (COE), a centralized sales support center in a shared service capacity focused across segments on reporting, commissions, invoices, contracting, customer presentations, rate loading and RFP / lead management support.  The COE team supports sellers with administrative activities, requests, and processes to maximize selling time to drive revenue to all brands..  

In addition, to COE Support this position will support two GSO segments:  Co-Op Brand Sales Team and Travel Management/Consortia team.  

Co-Op Brand Sales Team: Represent Co-Op Brands at vertical industry association events.  The goal is to make connections with key personnel that make or influence the lodging decisions (ex. project managers, bid estimators, and district managers) and generate leads for Co-Op sellers.  Responsibilities also include pre-and post-show communication strategy.  In addition, this role will conduct engagement initiatives at key travel agencies that show strong production into comp set of Co-Op brands.

TMC/Consortia Team: Represent WHR at travel industry events where the attendees are primarily travel agents.  The goal is to increase awareness of our brands, educate agents on “good fit” brands for their customer base, and promote key new hotel openings.   

COE Support: 
•    Schedule, host, and coordinate Monthly Global Hotel Showcase call for sellers
•    Coordinate and Create bi-weekly GSO and MFSO seller communication
•    Provide Showpad administrative support for Training and Managed Folder
•    Enroll new users in Showpad Tool
•    Provide additional reporting and seller support as needed

This ideal candidate must have an upbeat personality, team oriented and proactive approach to working with Directors and have highly effective communication skills. This person must be a self-starter, resourceful and have the ability to assess a need and identify solutions/processes to support the team.

•    Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Marketing or other related field.
•    3+ years of hotel industry sales experience and will demonstrate knowledge of WHR’s portfolio of brands.  
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to engage  WHR internal corporate resources, brand leadership, the franchise community and potential customers
•    Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office; Salesforce.com knowledge preferred.
