Dolce by Wyndham Versailles is looking for a National Sales Manager.  This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of this exceptional venue, ready to open its doors for the first time in Q1 2023.

THE HOTEL

The Dolce by Wyndham Versailles, managed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is located in the Domaine de Montcel, in the vicinity of the Versailles Palace. With 18 meeting and reception rooms, 178 guest rooms, suites, and apartments, 2 restaurants, a bar, a stylish spa, and an outstanding park of more than 14 hectares, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles will offer the subtle balance between authentic French elegance and contemporary comfort.

Job Summary

The National Sales Manager will promote the hotel and actively maximise business opportunities and results in line with the business strategy and budget.  He/she is responsible for the commercial developments within his/her territory and effective management of accounts and markets.  He/she will put strategies in place to achieve annual business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Duties

  • Manage and develop a defined portfolio of national MICE and Corporate accounts.
  • Develop and implement a strategic commercial action plan to achieve the objectives set in terms of revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyse this action plan and share it with the Director of Sales.
  • Execute the commercial action plan defined in the database (enter the details of contacts and companies, enter the actions carried out or planned... etc.).
  • Implement commercial prospecting: identify potential and existing customers, ensure contact, ensure appointment visits to customers and prospects, make follow-up calls…etc.
  • Market and promote the hotel (participate in professional trade fairs, conduct on-site property tours), in accordance with the hotel's commercial policy.   
  • Provide the internal sales team with the necessary support in the realization of requests issued by accounts monitored by the external sales team portfolio.
  • Negotiate and renew contracts with companies, under the supervision of the head of department.
  • Ensure competitive intelligence: identify and visit competitors, monitor the evolution of their commercial and pricing policy.
  • Share the information he/she holds with the management and/or all the services of the hotel.
  • Carry out and transmit a weekly and monthly report on its activities to the Director of Sales.

Other Duties

  • Share relevant data to carry out the business plan for the coming year and participate in its development.
  • Complete all mandatory training offered by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. 
  • Participate in general and departmental meetings to which he/she is invited.
  • Promote other Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
  • Promote the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program.
  • Share information with the Regional Sales and Marketing team.
  • Act as a true brand and hotel ambassador by setting an example and convey a positive image of the team, the hotel, and the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude, both in terms of work performance and behaviour.
  • Carry out on-call duties within the property as required.
  • Control the costs and return on investment of sales and marketing activities and business trips undertaken. Submit a monthly expenditure report to their direct manager.

Background:

  • Higher education in Business school or a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position, in a similar hotel or in a sales organisation of an international hotel group.
  • Market experience seminars / MICE.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English. The ability to work fluently another language is an advantage
  • Must be a fully competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience of working with CRM data management systems (Delphi Amadeus sales & events Management - advanced) and Hospitality PMS systems (Opéra) is an advantage
  • Driver’s license B
