Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Content Strategist EMEA to join our team in London.

This new role is part of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts team for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Eurasia (EMEA) and will be responsible for planning and executing a multichannel content strategy that supports the business development efforts of the company, aimed at expanding its franchised hotel business in the region. The role holder will be an experienced content strategist who will play a key role in telling the story of Wyndham to an audience of new hotel partners and investors in a creative and engaging way, and will support the new business development team with compelling content that drives leads and awareness for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and its brands. They will ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice and will lead creative agencies, external vendors and collaborate with marketing/communications colleagues as required. They will also be responsible for the strategic planning of key industry events, spearheading content, branding and logistics with some international travel required.

Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy and Implementation:

  • Lead and deploy the content strategy across (B2B) social media, video, client newsletters, development website, promoted media and thought leadership content
  • Direct external agency – focusing on relationship and deliverables, including strategic reviews
  • Conduct regular competitive audits within the travel and hospitality sector
  • On-going monitoring and review of results, impact and adjustment of the strategic approach accordingly

 

2. Collateral Production and Events:

  • Direct the creation of branded collateral, presentations, brochures and other materials utilised by the development team in meetings and presentations
  • Plan events, including calendar, content, branding and logistics specifically for major hotel investment conferences and development events, to promote the Wyndham brand through sponsored and native articles and social media
  • Research and source innovative brand merchandising

 

3. Financial Control

  • Accountable for all aspects of B2B marketing and events budget, including setting and monitoring financial forecasts, actuals and yearly planning

 

4. Strategic Project Support

  • Assist the development team by providing them with presentation templates and content for specific strategic projects including external/ new client pitching collateral

 

5. Hotel Development

  • Set and cascade the development marketing strategy, quarterly and yearly planning

 

6. Ad hoc Projects

Experience/ Certificates/ Education

  • Hospitality Management or Marketing Bachelor degree or above (or studying towards) 
  • Strong and demonstrable track record of relevant B2B marketing and events experience
  • Significant budget and financial forecast ownership experience 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Good knowledge of the hotel industry, corporate finance and real estate
