Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking an Intern Learning & Development to join our team in London, UK.
Job Summary
This individual will coordinate the facilitation of training programmes to the franchised and managed hotel community as well as corporate team members. They will be responsible for supporting the EMEA Learning & Development (L&D) team in planning the annual EMEA Training Calendar, adapting courses, identifying learning and operational needs, coordinating course delivery, and utilising the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) Learning Management System (LMS). They will have the task of ensuring that franchisees, managed properties and their teams have the necessary tools and know-how to use them as well as working within our brand standards and systems with the goal of maximising revenue, brand engagement, quality assurance and guest satisfaction.
This internship is designed to provide hands on experience across the end to end L&D lifecycle. By the end of the internship, the Intern will have developed practical capability in programme design, stakeholder coordination, learning technology, and data informed evaluation, supported by mentoring from the EMEA L&D team.
Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and support planning and delivery of Training Programmes
Coordinate and support the delivery of a training plan, including training courses and programmes, which are part of a cycle of long-term development and continuous learning for the WHR value proposition, culture, and performance of the hotel properties.
Learning Management System (LMS) coordination and development
Contribute to the appropriate design, adaptation and/ or creation of course content for the division, for example by setting up programmes and adding classes and dates in the LMS. This may include Instructor Led content, electronically designed (e-Learning) solutions and any necessary in country variations based on culture or legislation. They will maintain a direct link with the Global Wyndham University team to ensure continuity and alignment.
L&D Internal Communications
- Communicate training offerings to relevant stakeholders and manage registrations and completions.
- Maintain, analyse and update the corporate team member training calendar and trainings’ records in LMS.
- Liaise with the L&D team on training schedules.
- Report on all LinkedIn Learning for weekly, monthly, and annual reports and dashboards.
- Collect ideas for live trainings, liaising with the department heads/ trainers and coordinate the technical set up and registrations.
- Support on-boarding of corporate team members.
HR projects
- Responsible for updating the Learning & Development on-boarding content of all corporate team members.
- Internship Group Project: All Interns are involved in a business-critical project during their internship.
- Taking part in HR/ Talent projects related to the HR growth in the EMEA division e.g. Recognition & Engagement, CSR, On-boarding, Recruitment & Selection.
- Employee Engagement Committee: All Interns support the committee in organising activities/ initiatives under 3 pillars: People, Community and Sustainability.
Complexity
This individual will contribute to the successful delivery of the EMEA training commitments and programme within the division. They will have broad liaison throughout the organisation with all functions and will build positive relationships with key representatives within the franchised and managed community as well as with their functional colleagues in EMEA and the broader Global L&D Community.
Scope/ Financial Responsibility
This individual will act as a representative and ambassador for the organisation and its brands to support the EMEA L&D team. The role holder will have responsibility management of personal expenses.

Experience & Qualifications
- Studying towards a hospitality or HR related discipline.
- Exposure to organising workshops, events etc.
- Confident communication.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences in communication and learning approaches.
- Fluency in both verbal and written English is essential; a second language would be useful.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Familiarity with dashboards, surveys or evaluation tools is an advantage.
Organisational Relationships
The Intern Learning & Development EMEA reports to the Director of Talent Management EMEA. They will also work closely and take directions from the broader L&D team.
Compensation & Benefits
- £25,875 gross per annum, prorated for the duration of the internship.
- 25 days of holidays per annum (accrued basis).
