is now seeking a Sales Coordinator to join our team at Dolce Ivey Spencer Canada in London, Ontario.

Job Summary

 

This position is responsible for performing administrative, sales and catering/conference planning tasks and functions for the Director and sales managers , representing the organization in a professional manner, with focus on superior customer service and initiating and maintaining detailed records of all internal and external files. Will provide clerical and administrative support to other executive committee members, as needed.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or college diploma in a related field with a minimum one year industry work experience.  Completion of a degree , diploma or certification in sales or marketing is preferred. 

Previous experience in sales/planning in a high volume operation and/or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation is an asset.

Experience with Delphi or another customer management system or proficiency using databases and a willingness to learn is a must. 

Physical Requirements

  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Exposure to the stresses of a fast paced work environment with changing priorities in a position responsible for change management.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evening hours, as required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point). Adaptable to learning new and customized software programs.

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.
  • Comply with Wyndham Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Fundamental Requirements

  • Coordinate the sales team by managing their schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information
  • Ensure all sales related equipment and/or materials are in acceptable order
  • Respond to complaints form customers and give after-sales support when requested
  • Monitor the team's progress, identify shortcomings and propose strategies by conducting market research. 
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of promotional material or events.
  • Provide additional support to colleagues when needed.
  • Implement strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for product and services. 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share. 
  • Plan and execute promotional activities including print, electronic media, tradeshow and direct mail.
  • Coordinate the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support marketing and sales programs.
  • Provide post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
  • Establish and ensure consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, websites, and events.
