Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a New Hotel Opening Coordinator EMEA to join our team in Georgia

Job Summary

The role is critical to supporting the success of Hotel Openings for Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, managing all elements of the opening process and brand engagement of new franchised hotel partners from the start of the pre-opening process to review of the post-opening Audit and complete handover of the property to Field Operations DFO/MFO.

 

The role holder will manage the opening processes and timelines sufficiently to anticipate and navigate around potential obstacles, where possible, to prevent delays. They will be required to flag issues to their manager with suggested actions improve the process.

 

The role holder will be the process owner contact, for each hotel they are assigned to open in the EMEA region, pulling on the other Internal resources required to open a hotel. They will pro-actively communicate with internal departments during various points of the hotel opening life cycle, to ensure engagement and the provision of accurate information and resources, is used at each opening. 

 

They will ensure all tracking systems/Sales Force Action plans are updated in real time, to ensure the latest data on a project is available for all to access.

 

The role holder will maintain an awareness of the brands and brand identities required for EMEA.

Hotels Opening Processes

  • Data pack process is managed in conjunction with new hotel partner
  • System build is actioned & validated.      
  • Property Management System (PMS) is correctly configured
  • Two Way Interface is connected to SynXis and PMS   
  • Compliance & Regulatory requirements.   
  • Sales & Marketing - Channels & Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

Compliancece

  • Brand Compliance
    • Revenue Management Service set up and tested           
    • Integration Fee has been paid to WHR
    • Signage Status      
    • Welcome Training
  • Manage Third Party Partnerships
    • Guest Supply, Ecolab – new property engaged.        
  • DFO handover once hotel is operational  
  • Completion of post opening audit and follow up actions.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

The Operations Team in EMEA is responsible for over 480 hotels in more than 47 countries tasked with ensuring that we are easy to do business with and add value to the Franchisees and management owners.

 

This individual will have responsibility for delivering work which ultimately has a significant impact on the company’s Net Room Growth goal. Their contribution will enhance the company’s presence in the marketplace and the perception of Wyndham Hotel & Resorts products

 

They will find themselves required to take low level decisions on behalf of the company and will need to be able to manage guidelines and tools to select the best option for Brands / Brand Standards.  

 

The role requires attention to detail, planning, ability to prioritise, continual review and questioning of existing processes and procedures, and project co-ordination capability to deliver openings on the dates agreed

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent within hospitality, project or business administration related discipline.
  • Experience within the hospitality sector either in a corporate environment or operations would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working in a multinational environment is desired
  • The ability to analyse and manipulate numerical and verbal data is essential
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • Experience in a franchised environment is desired
  • Fluency in English is essential and in Russian would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with administrative or similar databases would be a significant advantage
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft office is essential including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
