Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Analyst, Hospitality Technology to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The Hospitality Technology Analyst is to be responsible for product discovery and implementation of key technologies used by WH&R hotel locations globally. Focused on partner management, this role will require a high level of communication skill and comfort working across both internal and external teams. The successful candidate will have experience in hotel guest technology including guest entertainment, in room control, IOT, digital platforms and API integrations. This role will also be responsible for the following:
•    Discovery and implementation of hotel technology solutions
•    Integration of hotel and central systems
•    Operational management of technology partners
•    Leading business requirement sessions
•    Reporting & analytics on deployed products

Experience in integrating disparate systems and managing partner relationships for servicing all deployed technologies is critical. Project management experience will also be very valuable for this role as the scope is not limited to just defining solutions, but also seeing them rolled out to our diverse hotel portfolio.

 

Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to drive value to our franchised hotel locations via technology. Ensure in room, back of house and all guest facing technologies are adequate and scaled property for our diverse portfolio of brands. Responsible for: 
Responsibility                                   
1.    Identifying hotel technology needs and developing practical solutions.        30%
2.    Driving implementation of technologies with internal and external teams.        30%
3.    Provide industry expertise in implementation of hotel technology.              20%
4.   Collaboration with cross-functional business teams to ensure product alignment.    20%

Responsibility                                
1.    Best practice documentation creation
2.    Providing analytics from hotel tools to other business users.
3.    Expense / time management & departmental meetings.

Scope/Financial Responsibilities

As a technology leader for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, you will make decisions and manage partner relationships that have a direct financial impact to the company. Though there is no direct budget for this position to manage, this role will be a key participant in strategic planning efforts and execution of the overall IT roadmap and budget planning cycle annually.  


       
Travel Requirements
Travel to regional conferences and events in addition to regular business travel will be a requirement for this role. Expect to travel up to 25% of the time.
 

Compentencies

  •     Estimate and articulate ROI on large complex projects.
  •     Experience with API integration or other data brokerage
  •     Analyze complex situations and provide operational solutions.
  •     Manage vendor relationships to ensure hotels are getting best in class product & support.
  •     Provide subject matter expertise on guest facing hotel systems (Mobile apps, In room controls, IOT, Guest Messaging, etc.)
  •     Builds trust and support for initiatives across our franchised hotel base and business teams.

 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  •     Experience with hotel industry specific systems is critical to success in this role.
  •     Strong written and oral communication skills; good presentation skills with ability to think outside the box to generate solutions; ability to interpret data and see trends and patterns.
  •     Previous product or project management experience

Complexity

This role will have direct impact on key technology decisions that can be financially impactful to both hotel owners and WHR. Decisions made in this role will have a direct financial impact to hotel budgets and operating expenses.

To succeed in this role, you would be required to create and maintain relationships with various groups within the Wyndham family. These relationships will be leveraged daily to achieve your goals. The various groups that relationships are critical with include:

  •     Franchised Hotel Owners / Managers
  •     Brand Hotel Operations Teams
  •     Franchise Board/Advisory Councils.
  •     Revenue Generation
