The Role

The SEO Analyst will assist with items that are critical for the local search presence of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ 22 brands. This role will support the creation and maintenance of Google Business Profiles, working closely with local listing vendors to optimize the presence of our hotels within this channel. This includes creating the listing and relevant feeds, monitoring and responding to inquiries from franchisees, providing dedicated support for owner questions, and working with vendors to resolve all issues.  

The SEO Analyst will help the Manager of Digital Operations & Integrations track the deliverables necessary to bring new properties onto the local search platforms, and will monitor execution of tasks performed by third party agencies for local search. The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of SEO best practices to clearly and effectively communicate with internal and external partners.

What you'll do

  • Create listings for hotels within local search, working with local listings vendors and cross-functional internal teams.  Serve as point of contact for all inquiries related to local search listings, communicating with internal and external stakeholders and being available to talk owners through challenges within the space.  
  • Audit presence in local search to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and innovation.
  • Report trends to leadership around inquiries received; create education sessions to help internal and external stakeholders understand the local search channel.     
  • Monitor best practices within and beyond the travel industry as deemed relevant, as well as emerging technologies, programs, tools and applications as it relates to search engine optimization.

  • Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Demonstrates flexibility; willing to learn new skills, expand knowledge, and adapt to technological and business changes.
  • Keen prioritization/adaptation skills; Ability to shift focus as business needs dictate.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • 1+ years of ecommerce experience.
  • 1 + years’ experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
