Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Coordinator, Contract Relicensing to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The responsibilities of a Contracts Coordinator include the collection and preparation of a file and legal documents to submit for approval from stakeholders in the company, preparation and execution of Franchise Agreements, and Three-Party Agreements.  Work with Director of Contracts Administration, Sr. Vice President of Contracts Administration, Retention group, Presidents, Brand Operation teams, owners, operators, financial institutions, and attorneys to successfully negotiate all legal related aspects of the agreements and bring those agreements to execution.  Work on special projects and amendments to Franchise Agreements.

Responsibilities

  1. Gather information, complete due diligence, prepare documents, and compose letters.  Work directly with Managers, franchisees/licensees and members of senior management as necessary to affect an execution of a transfer or renewal of a property as well as complete three-party agreements and amendments.
  2. Responsible for the integrity of all information related to every agreement within Oracle and SalesForce.  Enter information related to all aspects of the negotiated agreement including system fees that drive the accounting system.  Also, maintain an up-to-date checklist of all relative information related to the deal in our systems as well as deals pending execution.
  3. Provide research information as needed to attorneys (outside and inside of Wyndham).  Provide updated and summary information by deal as requested by senior management within the company.

Complexity

All direction on terms will come from Sr. Director of Contracts, Vice President of Retention, or the Senior Brand Operations team; initially, the level of autonomy is low, but as job knowledge increases, so does the level of independence in this position; there are no supervisory responsibilities.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

The Contracts Coordinator position affects many other areas of the Hotel Group.  The execution of retention deals and Amendments to existing Franchise Agreements has an impact on Retention, Franchise Development, Legal, Franchise Services, Relicensing, Finance, Property Openings, Design and Procurement, and all of the Brand Operations staff.

The collection of Application and Initial Franchise Fees, as well as any outstanding Accounts Receivables due at the time of execution has a definite financial impact for the company.

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

Must show ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently/effectively under pressure.  Have a demonstrated sense of urgency about job tasks.  Must show accountability for work and tasks that are performed.  Work well with both internal and external teams to accomplish tasks.  Must have high attention to detail with strong written and analytical skills.

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Two-year degree in business or legal related field.  
  • Paralegal certificate a plus.  
  • Experience in contracting and life cycle management a plus.
