Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Coordinator, HR to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic, organized, self-starter to join the Corporate Human Resources team. The Specialist, Human Resources’ primary responsibilities will be to support the overall Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions for the Corporate Human Resources department. This position will focus on a full spectrum of HR services including providing customer service and HR process direction to team members, assists with coordination and logistics of team member events as well as other special projects. The HR Specialist will also ensure that all team member information is handled confidentially.

Responsibilities

1    Perform duties to support HR Operations. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain SOP’s for all HR Operational Processes
  • Maintain and update HR Policies as necessary
  • Serve as the HR move coordinator for 22 Sylvan campus (adhoc & department)
  • Maintain flex/remote processes
  • Daily review and maintenance of HR mailboxes
  • Answer and direct all team member inquiries    

2    Perform duties to support team member employment cycle. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead for on-boarding process (i.e. processing all on-boarding and sends on-boarding instructions for new team members to hiring managers)
  • Lead for off-boarding process (i.e. send separation quick part to HRMS; EDR forms; and exit surveys; schedule exit interviews, and send disable form to IT, Finance and Facilities)
  • Prepare and draft paperwork for off-cycle promotion, market adjustment, job change letters, and employment verification letters    

3    Perform duties to support Talent Acquisition. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares and maintains documentation appropriate to the recruitment cycle, including but not limited to offer letters, reference checks, and background checks
  • Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely submission of new hire paperwork
  • Coordinate the TAP process    

4    Perform duties to support HR administratively. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Take notes during investigations, draft initial PIP for review by generalists 
  • Support generalists at needed
  • Maintain/provide support for labor law poster compliance for corporate locations in the U.S.
  • Update distribution and contact lists 
  • Manage hard-copy and virtual HR files for all corporate team members; Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of these files
  • Assist with coordinating various projects and activities throughout the year such as the intern program, WISH day, other campus activities, and HR orientation
  • Process and coordinate mail/ invoices/ meetings and T&E for Corporate HR Team as needed. 
  • Manage department purchases/IT needs
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Human Resources Department management team.
  • Maintenance and distribution of HR onboarding binder    
     

Complexities

•    This individual will have access to confidential information and it is imperative that they maintain confidentiality at all times.
•    Follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. 
•    No supervisory responsibilities 

 

Scope/Financial Responsibility
•    Managed purchase card for department expenses.   

 

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
•    Knowledge of Smartsheet preferred
•    Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
•    Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Excellent attention to detail while multitasking.
•    Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
•    Work well under pressure. 
 

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field required.
•    At least two years of professional human resource administration required.

 

Organizational Relationships
This individual will report to the Generalist, Human Resources.
