Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, HRMS to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

Reporting to the SVP, HRMS, Analytics & Payroll, the Director, HRMS is responsible for the overall design, development, testing, assessing, enhancing and maintenance of global Human Resources Information System (HRIS) solutions such as SuccessFactors, Kronos, or ADP and related policies, procedures and process requirements. They will adapt, develop, configure and/or implement appropriate structures, tools, policies, processes, and integrations to provide high quality analyses, insights and solutions. The Director will also lead, coach, develop and manage Managers, Analysts and Administrators as needed.


The Director, HRMS works with project teams, including HR, Finance, Legal, Compensation, Payroll, IT, and third-party implementation partners to schedule and organize meetings, create project and process documentation, as well as coordinate project status, communications and training. The Director, HRMS will work ensure that project objectives are successfully executed on time and to contract and business requirements. The Director also communicates to and works with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation and other members of the HRMS team to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the impact of new functionality, new configurations and any other aspect of HRMS projects. 

On a day-to-day basis, the Director, HRMS will support the operations of the business in HR systems answering questions, providing information for investigations and troubleshooting issues.  The Director should be familiar with trends in support requests and be able to determine if training, job aids or additional assistance is needed by the business partners to be successful in performing necessary processing using the technology. 

The Director ensures HRMS compliance with Wyndham controls for data transfers and other business needs related to projects and normal business processes and ensures that business process and technical requirements are communicated, planned and delivered.  

The Director, HRMS also works on reporting initiatives and ad hoc requirements as needed, including direct database queries, data presentation tools and native reporting capabilities of ERP solutions.

The successful Director, HRMS will keep current with HR and other vendor technologies and the changing landscape of HR priorities in order to be an effective internal consultant to our business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs, and deploys functionality, modules and systems to maximize the usage of HR technology suites.
  • Maintains and supports HR applications and processes.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to identify and prioritize HRIS projects; Leads HRIS projects and cross functional teams to ensure HRIS is optimally configured, maintained, and utilized.
  • Supervises direct reports, providing regular feedback and direction.
  • Maintains HRIS governance to ensure compliance and timely response to audit requests. Develops and delivers timely reports for HR and Executives as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to organize, analyze and synthesize information regarding systems and processes.
  • Ability to absorb and evaluate information from a variety of sources and maintain a view of the “big picture” as well as the details of the HRMS systems and WHR business processes.

Technical Skills and Job Experience

  • Moderate to high level of experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Moderate experienced using collaboration and process enablement technologies such as Skype, Zoom and Smartsheet.
  • Deep experience with HR systems such as SuccessFactors, Kronos or ADP.
  • Experience with support ticket systems such as Zendesk.
  • Significant experience with ERP HR/Payroll modules.
  • Significant experience with HR and Payroll business processes such as timekeeping and Payroll.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with project management.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a role of managing and supervising staff.

Education & Experience

  • PMP, SHRM certification a plus; College degree strongly preferred.
