Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, Product Management - Marketing Technology to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The Director, Product Management - Marketing Technology will support the product strategy and delivery of  the roadmap, integration, adoption and value realization of digital marketing technologies for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts 20+ brands on our direct booking channels, as well as identifying strategic opportunities to continuously optimize the digital platform’s value proposition for our franchisees and guests. This business-side role lies at the intersection of marketing and technology. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented (but not technical); collaboration, partnership and active stakeholder management is foundational to success in this role. Thriving in an evolving environment, understanding customer needs, working to drive innovation, and continuous improvement for efficiency and sustainable growth is key.


This role partners closely with members of the Digital Product Team, I.T., Digital Operations, Customer Intelligence & Media, Analytics, UX & Design, Digital Copy, Brand Marketing, Loyalty, Training, as well as franchisees and marketing technology partners.

The position reports to the VP, Global Digital Products and has no direct reports.


Responsibilities

•    Continuously help evolve and maximize the value of our marketing technologies from a product management standpoint.
•    Ensure proper integration between the marketing technology products themselves, and with our guest-facing digital channels. Exhibit a high level of empathy for franchisee, customer and team member needs; serve as an evangelist, elevate the customer experience, reduce friction, and drive adoption, engagement and satisfaction across our digital channels.
•    Keep informed of the latest technology trends and innovations, and recommend new marketing technology products that solve Business and/or Customer needs.
•    Monitor and support data quality within marketing technology products.
•    Train and support marketing staff on using our marketing technology products.
•    Serve as the primary internal/external customer advocate during user acceptance testing and quality assurance activities to verify relevant enhancements and defect fixes are functioning properly, to deliver customer satisfaction, driving higher conversion and revenue for WH&R.
•    Work with internal IT teams to ensure adherence to product release schedules and the overall roadmap
•    Participate in data privacy, compliance and security reviews of marketing technology products.

Competencies

•    Experience working in Agile software development working practices
•    Understanding of web and mobile technologies and the innate curiosity and desire to learn more
This highly visible role will have great level of autonomy, requires a blend of business and technical skills, and will be expected to work independently with strategic direction from supervisor. The position is expected to elevate the quality and performance of the consumer facing websites/apps by guiding proper implementation, upkeep and proactively identifying opportunities to leverage its underlying marketing technology products more efficiently. Must be able to effectively collaborate and influence within a highly matrixed dynamic environment. Leads cross-functional efforts involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
 
Scope/Financial Responsibility

Driving continuous growth and technical prowess of our websites and apps via maximizing capabilities/realizing efficiencies of its underlying technology is critical to improve the experience for our end customers – resulting in higher online conversion and property revenues, enhancing our value proposition to franchisees and owners.

 

Experience/Certificates/Education
•    BA/BS in Computer Science or Business required (MBA is a plus)
•    8+ years of experience in Product Management; ideally in transactional websites/apps with solid knowledge of shopping/retail functionality, cloud technology and API connectivity
•    Prior product-focused delivery of third party integrations/tools and marketing technology products:
o    3+ years of experience with Adobe products including AEM, Target, Analytics and Audience Manager
o    3+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
•    2+ years of experience with translation tools (SDL and/or Transperfect preferred)4+ years of experience leading functional or technical teams
•    Experience with a customer data platform (CDP) is a plus
•    Solid understanding of web and mobile technologies and the innate curiosity and desire to learn more
•    Passion for travel; experience in hospitality or retail is a plus
