Job Summary


The Insurance Claims Analyst is responsible for the support, coordination and administration of the casualty claims program.  Under the direction of the Sr. Claim Manager, this role serves as the primary point of contact to collaborate with external claims professionals dedicated to support guest general liability (GL) at managed hotels and automobile liability (AL) claims. This includes being the liaison with internal and external partners on reviewing recommendations on guest claim accommodations.  On a secondary level, this position will provide coordination to review and triage newly reported GL, AL and workers’ compensation claims along with ensuring the accuracy of claims data in the internal risk management information system (RMIS).




  • Assist the adjuster and the general managers on guidance during the investigation, evaluation, negotiations and settlements related to non-litigated basic bodily injury, auto physical damage and property damage liability claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the Risk Manager and insurance company are properly notified and regularly updated on high profile and large-exposure claims.
  • Manage claim updates into the RMIS system.
  • Coordinate and attend claim reviews/meetings internally in addition to participating in regular claims meetings with third-party administrator (TPA) to provide insight, guidance and authorization for TPA-managed claims.
  • Respond to various insurance inquiries from internal customers and 3rd parties.
  • Participate in the education and training of Wyndham employees of insurance claim processes.
  • Provide excellent customer experiences by timely contacts and immediate follow up with concerns and/or complaints.
  • Support the review of potential subrogation efforts of external subrogation professionals.
  • Support the claim managers and risk managers at WH&R.
  • Coordinate efforts with Operations and provide regular communication and feedback on specific cases.



Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years related work experience
  • Prior claims management, claims adjuster, or insurance casualty claim process experience recommended
  • Ability to work under pressure; must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
