The Role
The IT Service Management/ Desktop Support Intern position typically involves providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with the maintenance and deployment of IT systems.
Interns may also help manage IT service requests, document technical procedures, and support the IT team in various projects.
The role aims to enhance the intern's understanding of IT infrastructure and service management processes. It offers hands-on experience in a professional IT environment, preparing interns for future careers.
What you'll do
- Assist the Desktop team with resolving support issues, and device upgrades for our local and remote team members.
- Complete desktop moves, refreshes and incident resolution weekly.
- Participate in chatbot initiative
- Update knowledge base and SOPs to support identified chatbot business cases
- Assist in the development of business dashboards using Power BI
- Dashboard metrics
You'll be successful if you have
- Microsoft OS and Applications knowledge, a plus
- Technical writing
- Effective communications
- Knowledge of SQL queries
- Organized, great communicator, willing to actively engage
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to work independently
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Computer Science or related field.
- Related class work or hands-on experience with computer troubleshooting and data analysis a plus.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Be an undergraduate Rising Senior or pursuing a graduate degree.
