Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Manager, Compensation to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing compensation expertise and analytics.  Will partner with HR and compensation team to provide analyses, recommendations, and guidance regarding compensation program development and implementation.  Supports development, communication, and administration of compensation policies, processes and programs.  Assure compliance with company policies and government regulations through audits and reporting. Communicate program results and make recommendations or improvements to the programs based on the results. Conduct research and analysis in the compensation area. 

 

Essential Job Functions


1    Manage compensation function including; benchmarking analysis (evaluate job content/wages/salaries for internal equity, market competitiveness, FLSA classification and legal compliance of the organizations pay practices), responding to incoming requests, data submissions to/participation in external market surveys, and ad hoc compensation analysis.    
2    Research and gather data for compensation committee meetings.  Assist with quarterly BOD statements.  Gather information for annual proxy filing    
3    Manage the calculation, payment and communication of quarterly and annual incentive plans.     
4    Collaborate with Compensation team and HR Generalists on the annual compensation planning cycle facilitating the overall process for merit, market adjustments & promotions and equity grants.     
5    Plans, develops, and/or participates in area and industry surveys (e.g. salary and benefits surveys, etc.) for the purpose of collecting data for benchmarking and analysis to develop specific recommendations for review by upper management.
6    Support with equity and executive compensation.

Describe quantifiable measures that will help define the value of the position.  Examples include size of budget, business metrics, etc.  Also, describe the impact on revenue, profit or expenses by stating activities that could affect financial results of WHR.

•    No direct budget management but decisions impact cost for organization.  

 


 

Education & Experience

a)    Education- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

b)    Training requirements:  Certified Compensation Professional strongly desired
c)    Knowledge and skills – 
•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills
•    Strong Analytical skills
•    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
•    Detail oriented
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
d)    Technical Skills:  Oracle or other HRMS system knowledge, Microsoft Office Applications
e)    Job experience:  5+ years Compensation or related experience.

Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
