The Role

The Manager, Paid Media is skilled at developing media strategies to achieve and over-deliver on business goals. This position is responsible for executing high-impact direct response media campaigns across all channels (including paid search, metasearch, display, etc.) that generate revenue and drive awareness, consideration, and bookings for our economy, midscale, and upscale hotels across the US and Canada.

Reporting to the Director, Paid Media, this individual works cross functionally and collaboratively with leaders of brand segment marketing, Wyndham Rewards marketing, and Digital to deliver and manage performance marketing campaigns that support booking and customer segmentation/acquisition goals. The Manager is also responsible for partnering with and day-to-day management of external media agency partners to optimize media efforts, drive innovation, stay ahead of the industry and regularly measure/report out on performance.  He/she will communicate results of the campaigns to internal constituents and proactively make recommendations to advance the program and results.
 

What you'll do

  • Help develop and optimize direct response media strategy for all brand and customer segments to exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Oversee deployment of the media strategy across traditional digital marketing channels including paid search, display, metasearch, affiliate, OTA partner media, etc.
  • Manage day-to-day media agency and channel partner relationships.
  • Monitor campaign performance and budget pacing daily, working with agencies to identify and deploy enhancements and optimizations to maximize return on investment.
  • Work with tag management and digital analytics teams to ensure proper campaign tagging, pixel setup, and internal reporting.
  • Partner with design, copy and brand marketing to develop and deliver creative assets and ad copy, and implement test-and-learn results to maximize performance.
  • Manage the budget, including all invoices and accruals, etc. across all brands and channels.
  • Lead and grow the Sr. Specialist, Paid Media.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Paid Media by educating and updating the organization on the latest results and trends, staying up-to-date on platform and channel evolution.
  • Assist in managing and deploying results from media measurement tools including mixed-media modeling and multi-touch attribution.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • 5+ years of digital marketing and media experience (paid search, metasearch, display).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Hospitality experience and/or experience in a franchise/shared services organization preferred.
  • Previous hands-on management of paid search, display, metasearch, etc. channels.
  • Google Certification and AdTech experience a plus, specifically mixed-media models and multi-touch attribution.
  • Proven track record building media and marketing plans and managing major agency relationships.
  • Demonstrated record managing budgets, maximizing dollars spent, and driving/optimizing ROI.
  • Prior experience leveraging customer data platforms (CDP) and data management platforms (DMP) to deploy audience and segmentation strategies in media.
  • Proven hands-on experience forecasting and measuring media performance to goals/objectives.
  • Expert with excel and commercial BI reporting environments.
