Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Representative, International Account Reconciliation to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

This position will manage specific finance functions related to the analysis and reconciliation of payments for international accounts in order to maintain appropriate cash application and minimal unapplied cash.  The position will also reconcile withholding tax receipts and VAT. The position will require write offs of withholding, VAT adjustments and other miscellaneous write-offs.  The qualified candidate will work closely with International Financial Service Representatives, Cash Application department to ensure payments are being identified and posted correctly to each account along with monitoring the updating the GL team on write offs that will affect the liability accounts.  The position requires interaction with franchisees in order to effectively reconcile withholding tax adjustments.  Additional areas of responsibility include but not limited to reconciliation of foreign exchange differences and assisting department Director with detailed account reconciliations and special projects.  The position requires an understanding of withholding tax implications. Daily monitoring of the International mailbox and Applications mailbox along with credit checks to assist in the approval of DANS’s.

  • Identification, analysis, and reconciliation of international payments, including reconciliation of foreign exchange differences
  • Reconcile withholding tax receipts and VAT and process necessary adjustments
  • Perform account reconciliations for high-profile accounts for department director and manager including the Latin America region
Competencies & Responsibilities

The position has full autonomy to process and reconciliation individual accounts.  Withholding tax write-offs processed by the Specialist are prepared independent of direction, but require Director Approval.  To be effective in the role the specialist must maintain an efficient workflow and be able to work independently, but also coordinate with other team members.

The position is critical to timely processing of payments and write-offs, ensuring accounts reflect accurate amounts due, in turn impacting the collectability by the Financial Services Representative.  Failure to accurately and efficiently perform the job responsibilities will have a negative impact on cash collections, outstanding withholding tax & VAT, unapplied cash, and levels of customer service as issues with accounts will rise.  Incorrectly processing tax adjustments has potential tax implications and liability concerns.

• Some college
• 5+ Years professional experience in a finance/analytical related role
• Highly proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• College degree a plus
• Hotel experience a plus
