The Role
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking entry-level Revenue Analysts to join our team in Parsippany, NJ as part of RevUp! By Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Rev up! your career in Revenue Management with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Rev Up! Program specifically tailored to graduating seniors passionate about hospitality with a desire to accelerate their career in Hotel Revenue Management. Rev Up! by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts focuses on developing hotel revenue management principles and system functionality knowledge to prepare trainees for a first-time managerial role in Revenue Management. Upon successful completion of the 12-month program, trainees will be eligible to apply for opportunities within the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Revenue Management team.
Trainees through Rev Up! will attend a series of comprehensive in person and virtual training sessions, shadow current revenue managers, manage a portfolio of hotels, network with colleagues and leaders and gain the skills and knowledge required to accelerate their career in Revenue Management including:
- Developing pricing strategies.
- Conducting revenue management strategy calls.
- Industry standard reporting and custom Wyndham Hotels & Resorts reports.
- Systems training.
- Demand and market analysis.

As part of Wyndham Hotel Group’s dynamic revenue management team, the Revenue Analyst is responsible for optimizing room’s revenue for an assigned portfolio of hotels by strategically managing pricing, inventory, and channel distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to help optimize our hotel revenue management strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in Revenue Management and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
What you'll do
Attend a series of in person and virtual training sessions in the first 3-6 months to learn hotel revenue management principles and system functionality. Ongoing training and shadowing throughout the first year to continue revenue management education. Including but not limited to:
• Basic room pricing strategies.
• Market segmentation.
• Industry standard reporting and custom Wyndham reports.
• Systems (property management system, revenue management system, central reservations system, etc.)
• Demand and customer analysis.
Perform analysis and develop hotel strategies and tactics to optimize revenues. Including but not limited to the following:
• Conduct strategy calls base on contracted service.
• Historical and future demand analysis.
• Business mix analysis.
• Competitive set analysis.
• Create strategies based on analysis.
Change hotel rates and inventory restrictions, by day, to ensure the property is properly priced in the market. Including but not limited to:
• Setting/managing rates by season, rate category and by room type.
• Maintaining channel parity.
• Monitoring competitive pricing and responding accordingly.
• Manage inventory restrictions (MLOS).
Conduct regular revenue meetings, via phone, with property leadership. Track and communicate the effectiveness of defined strategies and tactics making recommendations for on-going adjustments:
• Weekly tracking / status reports.
• End of month reviews.
Additional ad hoc analysis and/or project work as requested by WHG revenue management leadership
• Group displacement analysis.
• Price Value Comparison.
• Potential property visit as determined necessary.
You'll be successful if you have
- Complete applicable training in hospitality systems and processes.
- Develop understanding of Revenue Management (KPI) Key Performance Indicators and industry reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate and present metrics into actionable proposals.
- Highly proficient in Excel; experience with business intelligence/reporting tools to pull data and reports
- Above average organizational skills; ability to successfully manage multiple activities in parallel, across various management levels.
- Above average communication skills; ability to confidently and clearly interact remotely with property and brand resources; convey ideas clearly in voice and in writing.
- Ability to analyze and present findings from quantitative data; can assimilate information and data from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge for computer systems, software, and hardware.
