Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Senior Director, Salesforce Technical Architecture & Development to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Salesforce Technical Architecture & Development, will lead a team to deliver all aspects of development, integration and technical simplifications of the Salesforce.com platform and ensure continued delivery of innovative, high quality solutions that support the franchisee lifecycle sales, service and business objectives. This requires the ability to develop and support applications using Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Communities, SF Mobile, and Lightening platform. 
This role will collaborate across the Salesforce team, Company and 3rd party partners to deliver a cohesive CRM strategy, primarily based on a Salesforce.com platform and be responsible for development execution. The individual should find every opportunity to create new and innovative solutions to system issues by staying abreast of industry trends and vendor technology enhancements to capitalize on application efficiencies.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the franchising business model, as well as hotel support & operations. The SR Director’s responsibilities include being a proponent of best practices, both internal and industry, assisting business teams to best leverage technology and helping drive our business through the creative use of technology.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and/or independently and lead a Salesforce.com development team to support a platform technology and IT / 3rd party integrations.
  • Provide and approve technical design, integration architecture, solution recommendations, ROM estimates and detailed requirements.
  • Develop and deliver the salesforce technology roadmap to enable all owner and business strategy for the company
  • Remain current on new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for technology and process improvement.

Education & Experience

This role will be responsible for developing technical solutions addressed by Business Stakeholders that will impact external owners and company sales and service operations.

 

Scope/Financial Responsibility
Salesforce development will primarily be capitalized and managed thru the IT Project management Demand process and tracked thru clarity.

 

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

Skills:
•    Detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds, Communities and Lightening
•    Knowledge of Salesforce Integration concepts using Soap or Rest API Web Services to various IT Systems (Salesforce to Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle, Sharepoint)
•    Experience managing Technical staff 
•    Strong understanding of Relational Databases and ETL integration (My SQL, Oracle, Informatica, Salesforce Connector)
•    Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
•    A strong focus and a capacity to collaborate with partners to troubleshoot and optimize processes
•    Ability to analyze and creatively solve complex business and technical problems
•    Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
•    Work in partnership with operational teams / IT to provide input to the company strategic plan
•    Must be able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with individuals at all
levels, in multiple geographies and business functions.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to communicate decisions and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and
•    concise manner
 

Education/Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field 
•    Number of years of experience: 7-10 Salesforce, 10-15 business
•    Salesforce certifications (Administrator and Developer preferred)
•    High proficiency in CRM software & SFDC platforms within a corporate environment 
•    Must have a strong background in project development delivery
•    Evaluate 3rd party solutions and AppExchange packages based on company initiatives
•    Highly proficient knowledge with Windows applications, including but not limited to Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
