Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Development to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Corporate Development team is responsible for driving external and organic growth strategy through the execution and integration of compelling acquisition and strategic investment opportunities in the company’s core, adjacent and potentially new market sectors. As a Corporate Development and Strategy at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, you will play a critical role in developing growth avenues for the company. Partnering with brand marketing, development and leadership teams, this role will assist with the development of acquisition pipelines and lead detailed attractiveness assessment and cultivation of target companies. The role will also assist with facilitating strategic decisions with key cross-functional stakeholders and provide visibility to senior leadership on corporate development strategies, pipeline, progress, and outcomes. 


  1. Analyze market data and evaluate industry landscapes including relevant competitors, trends (industry, competitive and macroeconomic), and M&A transactions
  2. Identify, screen and value M&A opportunities including building complex operating and financial models to support transaction or investment thesis 
  3. Manage cross-functional teams to execute M&A deals (including due diligence,  identification and mitigation of risk, PSA negotiations, post-merger integration)
  4. Support development of Corporate Development strategic frameworks and toolkits
  5. Develop presentation materials to provide recommendations and other strategy-related analysis to the executive team and the board 

Education & Experience

a)    Bachelors degree
b)    Training requirements (licenses, programs or certificates): None

c)    Knowledge and skills: 

  1.     Self-starter with flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust role to business needs
  2.     Effective communication skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior leadership and external partners 
  3.     Strong project management and facilitation skills to engage cross-functional and cross-border teams
  4.     Excellent judgement and diplomacy skills required to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
  5.     Understanding of lodging and hospitality sector is a plus

d)    Technical Skills: 

  1.     Strong financial analysis, valuation and modeling skills (Test to assess Excel skills is required)
  2.     Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint
  3.     Hands-on deal management experience, preferably in an M&A context

e)    Job experience (number of years, type/level of previous experience): 3+ years of professional experience in an analytical role (e.g., Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Investment Banking, Management Consulting)


a)    Will be working closely with SVP on ideation and execution of growth strategy. 
b)    Role requires proven self-starter with a sense of urgency. Deal environment requires prioritizing and handling multiple assignments with excellent attention to detail and personal integrity to maintain strict confidentiality of projects
c)    This is a critical role with senior management visibility and potential for further advancement within Wyndham.
