Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Senior Manager, Development Marketing to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The position will be responsible for supporting marketing efforts that help drive net room growth through development of content that: 1) attracts new leads and nurtures them through the funnel and 2) arms our franchise sellers with materials that support and elevate their pitch. This position will work hand-in-hand with their development marketing counterparts, and more broadly partner with key stakeholders across the organization including Business Insights, brand operations and the Revenue Generation team to help bring the value proposition of developing hotels by Wyndham to life. 



1    Lead generation content development

Create engaging content that communicates our value proposition and attracts new, high-potential franchisees – driving qualified traffic, generating leads and helping to drive them through the sales funnel. Content and format must be customized based on owner segment and includes thought leadership articles, webinars, case studies, infographics, competitive information sheets, and more. Work with head of development lead gen marketing to develop content that supports lead gen strategy as well as agency partner on design of content to bring it to life.

2    Lead nurturing

Create strategy, build campaigns and produce assets (e.g. emails, webinars, one-sheets, etc.) to nurture leads already in the funnel so as to increase conversion rate. Ensure prospective owners have a clear understanding of the unique value and service they can expect as a WH&R owner; and that Wyndham remains top of mind through the sales cycle as owners are evaluating competitive opportunities.  

Partner with email team & vendor to develop automated lead nurture programs. And test and optimize messaging and experiences to drive the greatest conversion rate

3    Cross-functional partnerships

Partner cross-functionally with sales, franchise operations and other key stakeholders to understand the current ‘nurture’ process and the type of content (e.g. educational, process-oriented) that would help drive leads through the funnel and increase conversion rate.  Work with business leads to interpret and communicate the value proposition in a way that resonates with franchisees, taking an OwnerFirst approach.


4    Social media

Develop and implement a social media strategy that complements WH&R’s global LinkedIn presence, but specifically focuses on franchise development in an effort to drive net room growth among existing and prospective franchisees.  Own social content calendar and content publication in addition to  ideation and development of social campaigns – thinking outside of the box -- to drive web traffic, lead generation and overall brand awareness.  

Ensure franchise sales team is engaged in sharing and building community through their social channels.  Partner closely with WH&R’s social media team, PR and dev marketing counterparts to ensure content alignment and monitoring. And determine effectiveness of posts through key metrics


5    Tracking

Track and analyze campaign results and content performance. Leverage learnings to continue to optimize lead nurture approach, and develop short-term vs. long term strategies and tactics based on available capabilities to maximize engagement.


This position requires a great deal of ideation, leadership, management of information, coordination and syndication of details, reviews, approval, information-sharing and communication with a large group of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. 

Supervision and direction will be given to oversee the strategic effectiveness of work before it is shared with executives and confirm decisions and direction.

There are currently no supervisory responsibilities.


Scope/Financial Responsibility

Responsible for developing and managing content and marketing to drive new franchise leads and develop tools for sales enablement for Franchise Sales organization. 

Objectives for/related to this role are:
•    Help to increase lead generation through development of content that showcases the value proposition of franchising with WH&R
•    Develop nurture campaigns to help drive leads through the funnel and increase conversion rate
•    Drive awareness of the services, tools and support Wyndham offers franchisees to drive performance of their hotels

All of the above objectives are designed to:
•    Drive net room growth
•    Set owners up for a long, successful return-driving partnership
•    Grow market share

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

•    Incredible marketing and project management skills and solid fluency with creative agency projects and processes. 
•    Strength in creating compelling content, and can write and think outside of the box
•    Must be an outstanding communicator, flexible, optimistic and eagerly drive results.
•    This individual will work with a coordinated team of creative / design partners, digital marketing leaders, project owners, legal and functional teams to drive creative projects; across global cross-functional teams
•    Candidate should be familiar with leading/driving web and digital marketing projects and traditional marketing collateral pieces.  
•    Knowledge of internal WHR analytics systems i.e. Adobe Analytics and Claravine
•    Must be very comfortable developing project /status decks and documents, highly comfortable leading meetings, driving tactics that are connected to strategic priorities, taking direction and input from multiple sources and synthesizing feedback into actionable next steps.
•    Manage multiple projects at the same time while keeping tight focus on priorities.
•    Manage timelines and schedules effectively.  Escalate issues and challenges to the right team members proactively.
•    Provide recommendations based on qualitative (anecdotal) and quantitative (data & analytics) information to enhance processes and drive results.
•    Ability to think independently and make decisions.
•    Be solutions oriented and pro-active.
•    Be adaptable to shifts in priorities.
•    Detail-oriented, organized and tenacious.


  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Marketing preferred
  • Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in sales & marketing
  • Strong project, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment and makes decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM system strongly preferred
