Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E), is responsible for the bringing the best value of FF&E for our hotel franchise owners through an efficient sourcing model. 
The Sr. Manager will be responsible for identifying, evaluating manufacturers and suppliers around the globe and creating strong vendor relationships. Sr. Manager, FF&E Strategic Sourcing will also be responsible for creating Sourcing value proposition to support “owner first” culture of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR). 
The Sr. Manager will be responsible for vendor relationship management, contract administration, problem resolution, in addition to business plan development, conducting competitive price analysis and negotiations, and strategically planning vendor partnerships. 
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting external franchise owners as well as internal stakeholders in all facets related to FF&E, and therefore the Sr. Manager is responsible for guiding the team to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal Wyndham stakeholders, hotel Owners and Operators, as well as with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Franchisee Support:
•    Identify, evaluate manufacturers and suppliers around the globe and create strong vendor relationships.
•    Create Sourcing value proposition for our franchisees by bringing best quality, pricing, and service/support. 
•    Ensure effective delivery and quality of product and services to our franchisees.
•    Set the accountability for the vendors by creating and negotiating the contracts. 
•    Leverage global supplier contracts to identify opportunities for cost savings.
•    Communicate and get the feedback from key franchisees and tweak the process as needed to create further efficiencies. 
•    Drive franchisee engagement to improve the purchasing volumes and cost savings. 
•    Monitor, manage, analyze, and improve franchisee service and satisfaction.
•    Continuously strive to find new innovative ways to deliver cost savings to our franchisees.
Internal Stakeholder and Brand Support:
•    Key internal clients include Architecture, Design & Construction, Brand Standards, Franchise Operations amongst others.
•    With internal customers to support efforts to achieve Wyndham business objectives.
•    Collaboration with the Architecture, Design & Construction team to ensure designs are feasible and affordable to franchisees.
•    Set business plan objectives by category and measure performance against those objectives.
•    Manage FF&E program support for franchisee compliance to brand standards, program participation, and effectiveness.
•    Collaborate with global sourcing teams to identify possible synergies.
•    Develop strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operations improvement.
•    Support the development of hotel online purchasing availability and functionality.
Manage Vendor relationships
•    Strategically identify and source new FF&E partners to further support long term goals and objectives, and to ensure that the most cost-effective products and services are available.
•    Work with vendors to develop and manage franchisee purchase reporting.
•    Perform competitive pricing analysis and negotiation.
•    Program development to deliver cost effective and quality products and services.
•    Analyze and report on franchisee engagement and purchases with vendors to identify areas of opportunity.
•    Create an innovative way to market our FF&E value proposition to our Franchise partners.
•    Monitor the performance of suppliers against contractual standards and collaborates to achieve continuous improvements in costs and performance.

Complexity

  • Make "go/no-go" decisions regarding pursuit of broader engagements (translate local   engagement into enterprise engagement); decisions regarding which providers to support/engage/introduce to BU leadership.
  • Must work with minimal supervision.
  • Complex sourcing strategies are developed and decisions made with corresponding dependencies across all Wyndham brands.
  • The position may supervise direct reports in the future.
  • Evaluation and analysis of large volumes of spend data and complex pricing arrangements.
  • Negotiation of multi-million dollar complex legal agreements.
  • Manage multiple competing suppliers and their performance in a given category segment.

Organizational Relationships

This position will work closely SVP leaders, discussing and setting strategy. The role will then work collaboratively down the organization to deliver the desired Strategic sourcing strategies. This position will work with supplier executives at the highest levels during strategy, negotiation, and business reviews. It will work down the supplier organizations as needed.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for delivering financial performance including revenue capture and cost savings for the enterprise according to developed goals and objectives. The Sr. Manager will manage department expenses and monthly budget/forecast goals. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for leading the team in the negotiation of contract renewals and new large dollar contracts supporting Wyndham brands and customers.

Travel Requirements

The Sr. Manager will travel to Identify, evaluate manufacturers and suppliers around the globe and also to support the execution of goals and objectives, to support franchisees, and to attend Hospitality or Professional Procurement industry events that support development of required skills, and further professional education. The frequency of this travel will range between 60-70%.
International travel may be required based on supplier selection and Wyndham program requirements.

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

  • Working knowledge of strategic sourcing process, procedures, and contracts.
  • FF&E market awareness and industry trends (opportunities, competition, long-range forecasts).
  • Understanding of legal requirements (restrictions, guidelines, general laws and regulations, tariffs, contracts, and directives).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing sources/costs (materials, commodities, labor, facilities, special technologies, manufacturing processes and services).
  • Financial analysis and assessment (on capital, service, profits, growth rates, assets).
  • Understanding of product development, processes, and related functions (Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution).
  • Understanding of general auditing procedures/guidelines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems technology related to sourcing, procurement, B2B, and electronic commerce.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify organizational needs and build those into business action items.
  • Passionate customer service and support.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • BA or BS.
  • Minimum 5 years contract negotiation experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience sourcing complex goods and services.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Hospitality FF&E procurement and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast paced envrionment, multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong partnerships across different .constituencies including internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong PC Skills (MS Office).
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management and presentation skills
  • Preferred - experience with E-Procurement applications such as Birchstreet and Bidding Applications( RFP, Reverse Auctions) such as Ariba or GeP.
