Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Specialist, Commissions to join our team.
Job Summary
The HR Compensation Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the WHR HR compensation team. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the commission payment process, administration of third party brokers, preparing wire requests and routing them for approval and assisting with the monthly close process.
In support of the commission’s process, the HR Compensation Specialist will take direction from the Compensation Sr. Manager and be responsible for the daily administration of commission reporting and third party payments. Status updates on pending payables. Notification and tracking of payments made with insufficient funds from bank. Compile monthly data to provide year to date data analysis on all responsibilities inclusive of maintaining activity records. Responsibilities will include preparing invoices and statements for the month-end close accrual and regular payroll cycles both domestic and international.
The candidate should be self-motivated and will be required to independently take action to achieve the organization’s goals. The candidate should have strong PC skills (including Excel), and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
General Requirements
Assist the Compensation Sr. Manager with the commissions’ process. Responsibilities will include preparing the preliminary data for commission payments globally, preparation and distribution of commission statements and developer invoices by deadline for all regions. Compile data for analysis of monthly and YTD data. Review contractual agreements, ensure all requirements are met and accurately track and process payments for third party brokers. Possess the ability to prioritize tasks when competing deliverables exist without sacrificing accuracy. Update changes to employee status as compensation is impacted.
Preparing and tracking wire and check requests. Assist in the month end close process. Any additional analytical reports needed based on areas of responsibilities inclusive of preparation and maintenance of year to date
Proper filing and scanning of contracts and supporting documents.
Ad hoc requests.
Fundamental Requirements
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of third party developers’ compensation and assist in the administration of compensation for the domestic and international sales team. Validation of receipts and payable amounts.
Individual will be responsible for making day to day decisions as it relates to their job function. On technical issues, the individual will work closely with management to identify and implement the appropriate solution.
Individual should be self-motivated and show a willingness to learn in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
Decision making can have a positive and/or negative impact on the operating results of the company due to the nature of the position (i.e. compensation). However, this will be limited due to review processes in place.
No supervisory experience.
Education & Experience
College degree required preferably in finance or management.
1-3 years’ experience required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level of professionalism.
Strong ability to multi-task, learn quickly and work well within a diverse team.
Ability to work overtime during intense reporting periods (i.e., January, April, July and October) and as needed throughout the year.
