Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Specialist, Project to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Overview

The Learning and Development Learning Project Specialist will assist with projects from a management and logistical execution standpoint. This position will report into the Sr. Mgr. Learning Projects. This role’s responsibilities include (but do not limit) providing a project lead “go to” person for all program/project management logistics, timelines, coordinating SME and other L&D team engagement, etc. for all audience focuses (Franchised, Managed, Team Member).

This role will be multi-tasking the management of a variety of projects, working with the Instructional Design Manager and Learning Program Delivery Director to coordinate project resources and maintain consistency in project management, support the L&D team with SME relationships, management/monitoring of program budgets to be measured against overall L&D budget, working with the areas within L&D for program execution (as needed), providing needed communication across the L&D team, engaging with the facilitators, acting as webinar host, providing feedback on content, etc. The overall goal of this position is to help manage projects from start to finish while supporting all L&D personnel that are involved and managing SME/project stakeholder engagement.

Job Summary


1.    Program Management/Execution:
•    Provide “go-to” expertise in all assigned projects
•    Continually look at existing processes for areas of improvement in efficiency
•    Work with the L&D team as well as engage in program execution
o    Setting rooms and/or work with facilities to set room for training events
o    Coordinating training session needed materials to send to regional locations or printers
o    Coordinating materials needed (tags, tents, technology, etc.)
o    Etc.
•    Work with L&D team members to get evaluation reports to show participant metrics and feedback on training sessions
•    Plan, organize, execute and provide follow up on all meetings as necessary.
•    Main lead on management of project plan document(s)
•    Provide recommendations for learning logistics and project management outcomes
•    Assist in the planning stage of training projects by setting up timelines, share meetings notes and schedule project meetings.    

    •    Monitor project enrollment levels and communicate often through a summary report and email participant information out to L&D personnel as needed
•    Awareness of all L&D programs and/or programs L&D supports and their schedules in order to continue to promote our value proposition as well as avoid overlap
•    Work with the Instructional Design Manager to coordinate project resources
•    Management/monitoring of program budgets to be measured against overall budget
•    Continuous management of the program logistics and execution
o    Regional location contracts
o    Work with Director of Learning Program Delivery to schedule trainer assignments
o    Etc.
•    Set up and hosting and/or facilitation of webinars/training classes as necessary
•    Have an understanding and high level usage capabilities of the LMS system for program engagement and management as needed
•    Think strategic about long term project effects and impacts
•    Engage/partner/recommend International engagement of project along with impacts

2.    Content Engagement:
•    Support overall L&D content by providing high level editing and proofreading to existing content.
•    Engage in high level content of projects by providing feedback, verifying objectives are true to project goals, and connecting the content back to other L&D programs and/or other function departments within the business
•    Engage with legal team for review of content (as needed)    


3.    Instructional Designer and Facilitator Support Person:
•    Support ID’s in providing project management to their project in terms of (but not limited to)
o    Scheduling project meetings
o    Keeping meeting notes and managing team communications
o    Keeping project on task
o    Handling logistical planning and administration
o    Set up debrief meetings to understand learnings and areas of opportunity
•    Support Facilitators in providing project management and updates to their project in terms of (but not limited to)
o    Updates to brand/SME schedules
o    Update changes to facilitator resources
o    Sharing overall brand/SME expectations and/or program details
o    Set up debrief meetings to understand learnings and areas of opportunity    


4.    Senior Manager Support Person:
•    SME/brand/team member relationships
•    Providing update on project status
•    Project management support on various other projects that come into L&D (as needed)

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
•    HS Diploma; BA in business or related field.
•    3-5 years in hotel or franchising business.
