Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Specialist, SEO to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The SEO Specialist will assist with items that are critical for the natural and local search presence of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ 21 brands and 8,900 properties. This role will support the relationship with third party vendors, owning the workflow of requests and seeing them through to completion. This includes coordinating and owning the deliverables of the natural search strategic plan, monitoring search algorithms set by search engines to keep up with changes in the SEO landscape, and supporting the overall local search strategy, ensuring organic traffic and exposure for each of Wyndham’s brand websites and properties. Working cross-functionally with a wide range of business partners, the position plays a critical role in supporting search channels and providing actionable analysis and insights.

The SEO Specialist will help the Manager of Digital Operations & Integrations track the deliverables necessary to bring new properties onto our responsive digital channels, and will monitor execution of tasks performed by third party agencies for natural and local search. The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of SEO best practices to clearly and effectively communicate with internal and external partners.

This position reports to the Manager, Digital Operations & Integrations.


Responsibilities

  • Support natural search initiatives, partnering with cross-functional agency teams to execute strategy set by the Manager of Digital Operations and Integrations.  This includes tracking and reporting key metrics of each channel, optimizing programs based on key findings, and making recommendations as appropriate
  • Optimize and improve local search results, communicating insights to multiple departments and supporting SEO-driven strategic outcomes. Work alongside partners to gauge the effectiveness of local search initiatives.
  • Serve as SME for all technical site updates related to search engine optimization, making key recommendations for code and content updates to support search initiatives.  
  • Monitor best practices within and beyond the travel industry as deemed relevant, as well as emerging technologies, programs, tools and applications as it relates to search engine optimization.
     

Complexity

This role must function with little supervision, requires a high level of autonomy with a blend of business and technical skills. 

 

Scope/Financial Responsibility
This role will focus mostly on workflow among agencies.  This person will also have a general understanding of metrics as it relates to digital platforms and conversion in order to prioritize requests.

Education/Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree Required
•    1+ years of ecommerce experience
•    1 + years’ experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
•    Experience in process and standards development as well as in governance processes a plus
