The Role

This position is responsible for the on-site and remote support of the WH&R approved property management, hotel level, and central reservations systems for franchised owned locations.  The position is expected to be the in-house subject matter expert (SME) for the SynXisCR, Opera, and Sabre property management systems/products.  This person will also be responsible for ensuring the PMS Training team are using current documents and checklists provided by the WH&R Product team. 

What you'll do

  • Assist in certification process for new/existing Opera SME’s and support trainers on WH&R deployment policies and procedures via an on-site quality process which ensures readiness for new implementation staff to manage this role.
  • Working closely with our Product team and ensuring documents are updated, maintained, and reviewed with the PMS Training team.
  • Manage install escalations with vendors, PMS Training Team, and Wyndham Implementation Team. Coordinate with support when needed.
  • Work with internal and external customers to test, document, and deploy new PMs/CRS functionality.  Acting as the PMS SME. 
  • Lead on-site application deployment of PM Systems and maintain implementation documentation and standards for PM system trainers.
     

You'll be successful if you have

  • Must have extensive knowledge of Opera Cloud and SynXis CR.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of staff both internally and on property.  
  • Must be able to work independently and with tremendous accuracy.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner and complete work on time. 
  • Must have flexibility to work nights and weekends if the situation requires.
  • Must be able to travel within Canada and the US.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Wyndham Certification received for training and configuring Opera Cloud in the Wyndham environments. 
  • Experience with SynXis CR as it relates to the integration to Opera Cloud.
  • Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
