The Role

As a Third-Party CLC Negotiator, you will be responsible for negotiating CLC contracts to help the hotel expand its market share and boost its market positioning. The roles involve evaluating contract agreements and documents and negotiating terms and rates while overcoming any contractual obstacles and disputes that may arise along the way. The Negotiator's primary focus is to achieve positive outcomes by securing profitable rates for the hotel while adhering to CLC rate guidelines. They must possess strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Being detail-oriented, analytical, and enthusiastic about negotiating win-win deals are essential qualities of a successful Negotiator. You must establish and maintain professional relationships with the hotel and CLC contacts during the negotiations to ensure a successful outcome.

What you'll do

Sales Execution: 

  • Develop and implement a well-planned strategy for CLC contracted hotels. This involves creating a comprehensive account plan that sets specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound business goals.
  • Identify potential areas of opportunity and challenges that may impede success. Once evaluated, develop a detailed action to drive sales activity and achieve the desired outcomes. .
  • Engage in customer-facing activities, such as quarterly business reviews, to broaden and strengthen relationships •Regularly engage in comprehensive reviews and assessments with hotels to thoroughly evaluate their performance and identify areas for improvement. Based on these evaluations, develop and implement effective strategies. 
  • Understand the CLC sales model in addition to Wyndham's chain scales, properties, and quality levels to ensure end customer/property fit

Partnerships & Collaboration:

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Management, Sales Specialists, and Marketing as required to drive sales execution 
  • Proactively work with Wyndham Corporate account teams to plan and help increase CLC sales volume within existing Wyndham customers 

Customer Enablement:

  • Actively measure hotel performance against stated goals and objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries regarding lapsed CLC contracts within internal Wyndham teams.

  • Expert understanding of Wyndham’s strengths and offerings; ability to articulate the vision from a customer perspective
  • High ability to sell value and align and motivate internal and CLC teams to drive win-win solutions
  • A self-starter, exhibiting initiative, confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment; results-oriented 

Business Acumen:

  • Familiarity and knowledge of Third Party group travel dynamics; understanding of CLC’s strategic business model
  • Ability to review market conditions and advise customers of potential opportunities to drive business growth
  • Analytical skills to understand reports and trends 
  • Understanding of metrics and goals and how to create reporting to gage success of projects 

Technical Acumen:

  • Broad knowledge of hospitality and Third Party industry trends
  • Ability to effectively lead complex sales cycles end-to-end
  • Strong technical skills including the usage of Salesforce.com, CVENT and Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or college credits with relative work experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of previous working experience, including at least 2 years of sales negotiating experience
  • Consultative selling skills 
  • Experience creating strategic account plans and sales forecasting
  • Previous experience with CLC is highly preferred
