The Role
The Central Sales and Support Sales Specialist is a fast-paced, hybrid role responsible for managing both group and transient hotel bookings for global customers. Acting as a key link between customers, global sellers, and hotels, the Specialist handles inquiries through multiple channels—phone, email, web platforms, and customer systems—to convert leads into bookings, manage RFPs, support rate and contract negotiations, and ensure a seamless customer experience. They also participate in project-based work and service initiatives to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
This position focuses on sourcing, developing, and securing business opportunities by leveraging various tools and systems, including revenue management platforms to assess forecasts, occupancy, and rate potential. Specialists work closely with customers to present tailored proposals and sell optimal solutions through effective communication and relationship-building. Depending on customer needs, they may also coordinate and build reservations or group blocks based on negotiated rates or contracts, contributing directly to revenue growth and supporting Wyndham’s global sales efforts.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Management & Sales Conversion:
- Receive, qualify, and convert inbound leads via toll-free numbers, Salesforce, email, and web platforms.
- Use internal tools to review availability, forecast rates, and submit optimized proposals.
- Source hotel properties, build RFPs, and manage opportunities for both group and transient bookings.
- Engage in consultative selling by recommending best-fit hotels and securing bookings.
- Contract & Proposal Coordination:
- Facilitate rate negotiation and contract execution between hotels and clients.
- Collaborate with Global Sellers and hotel partners to ensure timely contract creation, review, and finalization.
- Ensure all booking details and contracts are accurately reflected in internal systems.
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve service-related issues and concerns from key accounts in a professional and solutions-oriented manner.
- Act as a liaison between clients, sellers, and hotels to resolve discrepancies or challenges.
- Serve as a key point of contact throughout the booking process, ensuring proactive and timely follow-up with clients and hotels.
- Maintain consistent communication to nurture relationships, confirm details, and address outstanding tasks or questions.
- Project-Based Work:
- Participate in special projects and initiatives that support process improvement, sales optimization, or team goals.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Consultative sales approach with a high attention to client satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based tools.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with hotel group or transient sales, account coordination, or customer service preferred.
- Ability to work in a contact center or approved remote setting in line with company attendance standards.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Education: High School diploma
- Ability to successfully complete company-provided training
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Proficiency with computers and web browsers
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel required). Familiarity with Salesforce is an asset
- Experience in a call center atmosphere or travel industry is an asset
- Background in Revenue Management or Hotel Group Sales is an asset
