Dolce by Wyndham Versailles **** is looking for a Senior Sales Manager . This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of this exceptional venue, ready to open its doors for the first time in June 2023.


The Dolce by Wyndham Versailles, managed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is located in the Domaine de Montcel, in the vicinity of the Versailles Palace. With 18 meeting and reception rooms, 178 guest rooms, suites, and apartments, 2 restaurants, a bar, a stylish spa, and an outstanding park of more than 14 hectares, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles will offer the subtle balance between authentic French elegance and contemporary comfort.


Senior Sales Manager will drive significant revenue into the hotel on MICE and corporate segments, by creating strategies and implementing them to manage and develop a defined portfolio of key accounts and key markets. He/she will work to reach or exceed agreed annual revenue goals, in the respect of the commercial strategy and budget.

He/she will oversee the external sales team and be responsible of their performance.

Reporting into the Director of Sales and Marketing, he/she will assist in the management of the Sales and Marketing team and act as an interim when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a defined portfolio of, but not limited to, key accounts and key markets.
  • Create a strategic partnership with MICE and Corporate key accounts (companies and agencies) to build a strong and lasting relationship.
  • Develop and implement a strategic commercial action plan to reach the goals set in terms of revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Monitor and analyse this action plan.
  • Execute the sales action plan defined in the database (enter the details of companies and contacts, enter the actions carried out or planned, etc.)
  • Negotiate and establish contracts with key account companies.
  • Effective leadership of the external sales team: support, motivate and develop the team to reach their full potential.
  • Define individual and team quantitative and qualitative objectives in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing and ensure quarterly follow-up.
  • Lead and take minutes of weekly meetings with the commercial team.
  • Market and promote the hotel (participate in professional trade fairs, conduct on-site property tours), in accordance with the hotel's commercial policy.   

Other Duties


  • Provide the internal sales team with the necessary support in the realization of requests issues by accounts monitored by the external sales team portfolio.
  • Participate in the development of the business plan for the coming year and the budget.
  • Report weekly and monthly on his/her activities and those of his/her team to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Complete all mandatory training proposed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
  • Participate in general and departmental meetings to which he/she is invited.
  • Ensure competitive intelligence: identify and visit competitors, monitor the evolution of their commercial and pricing policy.
  • Share the information he/she has with the management and/or all the departments of the hotel.
  • Promote the other hotels within Wyndham Hotels & Resorts
  • Promote the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program.
  • Share information with the Regional Sales and Marketing team.

Other Responsibilities

  • Protect the confidentiality of the hotel and Wyndham Hotel & Resorts information and policies.
  • Act as a true brand and hotel ambassador by setting an example and convey a positive image of the team, the hotel, and the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude, both in terms of work performance and behaviour.
  • Carry out on-call duties within the property.
  • Control the costs and return on investment of sales and marketing activities and business trips undertaken. Submit a monthly expenditure report to their direct manager.

  • Higher education in Business school or a bachelor's degree in hospitality management
  • Significant experience in a position of Director of sales, Deputy director of sales, or Key Account Manager in high level/luxury hospitality and/or within an international hotel group
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English. The ability to work fluently another language is an advantage
  • Must be a fully competent user of Microsoft Office packages
  • Previous experience of working with CRM data management systems (Delphi Amadeus sales & events Management - advanced) and Hospitality PMS systems (Opéra) is an advantage
  • Driver’s license B
